True Blue (aka) JB2 - v2.61 Update Now Available

New dongle updater package released for 'True Blue' users

Earlier this week, v2.6 was released, but due to problems with 'third-party' homebrew it was pulled, instead v2.61 has now been officially released on their site.

Again as newer PS3 games are being released, there is always a need to improve the operation of the 'True Blue' dongle to make sure it can still fully play all your latest games on your v3.55 PS3 Console.

Remember you will need to upgrade your TB dongle for some of the newer games being released over the next few months, and if you have any freezing issues on start-up with our PS3 it is recommended to remove all 'third-party' programs like 'reACTPSN', 'Spoofers', etc. and restore to original TB CFW v2, then testing your PS3 unit out fully before attempting to re-install programs like 'reACTPSN'.




True Blue Dongle Update v2.61

How to update:

1. Make sure your PS3 is running the True Blue "3.55-Dongle-DG" CFW (custom firmware)
2. Copy TrueBlueUpdate-2.61.pkg from this archive to a USB flash drive
3. Boot your PS3 _WITHOUT_ True Blue inserted, and then insert the USB flash drive
4. Navigate to (Game) -> (Install Package Files), and then select TrueBlueUpdate-2.61.pkg
5. The True Blue updater will be installed onto your PS3 HDD
6. Navigate to (Game) and load "True Blue Update v2.61"
7. The updater will start, and will then prompt you to insert the True Blue dongle.
Insert it only at this point, and continue. Your dongle will then be updated
8. After the update procedure has completed your PS3 will reset, and you will then
be able to enjoy your updated dongle
9. You may delete the True Blue Updater from your HDD after the update is complete

Good eboots will come, though, waiting for Resistance 3 and PES2012... those probably aren't coming unless someone cracks the disc eboots like Anonymous did with Batman.

Hi I heard that the reason for this delay is that they had problems to patch the latestfirmware 4.11 eboot because sony and that is why there is all this delay, I've also read that tomorrow and until the end of the week released a new CFW and thus also the eboot.

JB-King hasn't cracked 2.61 so I don't see why there's no eboots released.

Maybe there are some issues with newer eboots but they def. should have a few interesting ones that they could've release, even a few to keep their customers content to get more customers to show that they're still alive and kicking but nothing since the last batch now almost 2 weeks is just ridiculous.

Yeah But the only time that true blue released eboots when their (2.5/1) update was cracked when they'd released eboots with that hdd erase code in them.
No one knows if recent or certain eboots are harder to crack except them but if so that they do have issues or that it takes longer to do certain recent eboots shouldnt this be something that they should mention on their website and say something

Yeah there is about 15 eboots missing, around 10 interesting ones
worry is that with top quality must play games coming out in mid may and at the end of may and that there's still games that haven't been cracked the list will get even bigger within 2 weeks

Just hope true blue can get most of these ones to be cracked released this week
so when the bigger/new games come out there isn't much else

Both take lots of time with no word ... and eventually release new eboots.

Either way, this here is a place where we openly discuss our opinions excitement and frustratons alike.

If so, yes and no they'd release eboots for driver sf & fifa 12 because psn versions were playable on cfw
then a user released eboots for batman ac & ace combat horizion by extracting the eboots from the disc using a debug console *not a 100% sure on this* the rest is still only on the tb bd disc but at least there's solutions for some like god war collection 2 psn versions work on cfw 3.55, disegea 4 english translation patch on jap, so it isnt that bad.

I have not heard anything since last weekend, when I was told more eboots are on their way.

As for rumors of another CFW, I highly doubt it, no mention has been made to anyone about those changes happening.

Everyone will just have to hold out longer, screaming up any down every minute will not make it happen any faster.

All tho, I want to play Max Payne 3 myself, can't wait for that one to hit.

because back in march after the last big batch of eboots
there were only a few game left to be fixed but after 2 months of almost nothing now its around 15 games
(about 10 interesting ones)
(not including japanese & non-interesting games which would make the number even higher...)

and that there are big games are coming out next week like max payne 3 + game of thrones
and a week after that, there are more titles coming out like men in black, dragons dogma, sherlock holmes
and a few more
i just hope true blue will release lots eboots soon so that there isn't a huge list of unplayable games

I don't think they need the keys either to make eboots which would make the need for a new cfw moot. Like gary said I don't think a new cfw is in the works... but I could certainly be wrong

Yes, latest games require 4.11 including resident evil operation rc, now i don't know the last 5 eboot issued that fw have, type armored core 5 but would be curious to know.

I believe they have released the v2.61 keep in advantage meanwhile with the clone they had "cracked" the 2.51 seemed right cap immediately the hole and in the meantime they have released a little eboot to halve a po this long wait,
If it is true that they need time to adapt the new eboot on 4.11 this is the minimum that they could do.

Yes, latest games require 4.11 including resident evil operation rc, now i don't know the last 5 eboot issued that fw have, type armored core 5 but would be curious to know.

Looking at some old threads wasnt cfw v2 made so that downgraded consoles could work? I don't think it had to do with eboots

Resident Evil has the fw 4.11 i controlled by param.sfo .
However there is no source that confirms the output of a new cfw or a new firmware whatever it is is likely that by the end of the week should end this expectation of eboot, and I hope that is the case the patience you will have to wait yet

I have no contact with them but i know a friend expert who knows many things and the problem of these eboot is always 'the usual' say so it only takes more time than expected to get them to work is no longer as the first time, things have worsened lately but no problem before or after the eboot always depart,
We simply need to be patience more than this can not be done
