Following with more of the CEX to DEX madness, Itskamel has released a new modified DEX 3.55 firmware with a nice set of included features.

The NewDEXKamel by Itskamel is a modified DEX 3.55 FW that allows you to install and run retail PKG's.

Here's his official statement:

Ok so you converted from CEX to DEX and you have not been able to install retail pkg's? well now you can with this firmware.

3.55 DEX ofw patched with mfw builder for peek and poke and eussNL's patch.

enjoy.

Use at your own risk!

i have installed and ran comgenie awesome file manager. please post if you are running other homebrew successfully.

You must change the filename from "NewDEXKamel.PUP" to "PS3UPDAT.PUP"

UPDATE: Ok so i tested the psn game mortal kombat arcade collection and it installed fine with the duplex patch. thats the only game i had to test. ;)but all other psn games should work also.

You can download it from HERE! (http://www.sendspace.com/file/k2q7nb)

I think it was my mistake.

While trying to quote the original post from T-C, I think I also included his sig(?). The post is just from Monday.

So, if someone of you could remove that last line from the quote, would be great ;)
