I havn't tested it yet on the PSP but I assume that all you have to do is put the save files in the 'Save' folder included with the 'RIN' emulator for the PSP.

Troubleshooting

Why .mcr savegames don't works? (possible causes):

1) Save game must be in .mcr file.
2) Savegame file corrupt.
3) Savegame must be exactly rename in the correct way.


Now CWcheat is very picky about how the memory card needs to be named, and it also needs to be in epsxe format. If your save is in another format then you need to convert it.

The epsxe save needs to be named after the game's Game ID. You can check the Game ID of a game by going to the SonyIndex ( http://www.sonyindex.com/) website and looking up your game.

Connect your USB cable and copy your epsxe save to X:\seplugins\cwcheat\mc\

4) Savegame must have of the same country (PAL game CAN ONLY LOAD PAL SAVEGAME, you can't loading a ntsc savegame in a pal game, ect ect).
5) Savegame must have the same Id game, Example SCUS-12125 you can replace only it with anther savegame with SCUS-12125 Id code. (There can be various codes Id different for the same nation, for example game Pal but platinum ect ect. - Psx Tomb Raider Pal Id code is different from Tomb Raider Pal Platinum)
6)In PSX2PSP v1.2 (for example) you have changed the Id save, and .mcr file is no more compatible.
Example:
Id code =SCES-01000 Kula World (Ntsc)
Id savagame code =SCES-01000 .mcr

If you have edited Id savegame for example in SCES01008, is no more compatible, because Id code are different.

put the mvec files on the 00009 saved data in the saved data when it asks you to swap disks, save it go to 000008 saved data folder copy the mvec files to 000009 folder and it will show when you insert disk 2, dont think cwcheat works with ff8

Pratically also with Id savegame changed, the game recognizes the original savegame id.

Database that you are downloading is for Psp games. You need cheatpops.db.
cheatpops.db is database for Psx game.

For work cheat code, it must be the same Id of game.
(I have attached a cheatpops database, but I don't know if is contains cheat for your Id game).
Put database together other psp database:
ms0:\seplugins\cwcheat

Remamber to activate it in "Recovery menu".

If you read after thanks to by Danzel game id XXXX XXXXX.

You need correct cheat code for your game.

Maybe you are converting ntsc cheat code while you have Pal version.

With cwcheat, you can loading a .mcr savegame, and after save as a normal Psp savegame.

Pratically you generate a VMP.

But is impossible create .mcr in VMP directly, bacause VMP is cripted.

Your VMP savegame, (for ex Castlevania), is useless with my Castlevania VMP, bacause, .vmp contains a checksum of the Memory Card contained.
Seems like only certain parts are used to calculate the checksum.

I don't know what type of checksum is used (could be MD5, i'm not sure).

There were some tools that would let you back up your save game files. An example is the Dex Drive, which you can find on eBay for around $5 - $10 (not including shipping). Granted, the software is old, but since most of the ones you buy just use the old Serial Port connector, as long as you have a computer with just 1 serial port (and, unless you use a Mac, you should be fine) you'll be able to plug it in.

Help me plese i want to play this save game file on a psx emulator, how do i do that?:confused:

(I think you mean emulator for Pc)

This savegame are compatible only with a Pc emualtor called epsxe.

They aren't compatible with Bleem, Virtua game station, ect ect.

Hi all guys, Redeemed here.
Since i'm a huge fan of Kenshiro and co., i thought to take a bit of time into looking what currently freezes Hokuto No Ken: Seiki Matsukyu Seishi Densetsu in popstation.

Usually, it freezes after the last fight with that red haired guy who shoots arrows (the one in the open stage area). Debugging the game, seems that it calls an unemulated hardware opcode, most is VIDEO_REFRESH and general GPU ones.
Since its impossible to fix it to work on psp, i thought to take a bit of time to play the game on Epsxe and to transfer the save to CwCheat.

Well, ive gone far past that point, finished 4th mission (Jagi) and about to continue the game. No freezes, nothing at all.

So i thought to share to the ones who want both cwcheat memorycard and psp save for your pleasure.

Hokuto No Ken: Seiki Matsukyu Seishi Densetsu
Popsloader required;
Popsversion: 3.52 (works perfectly in everyway, ive used this)
CwCheat for the memorycard to import, if you want;
Save attached to this post.


----------------------------3.52 Save Method-------->
First, copy the save into PSP\SAVEDATA.
Load the iso with popsloader, selecting 3.52.
Press start in main title screen; you should have all the options unlocked. If not, select third option and load the game (second option, then upper option as "yes").

----------------------------CwCheat Import Method-------->
Get the save attached, copy it to PSP\SEPLUGINS\CWCHEAT\MC;
Load the iso with popsloader 3.52.
Go to title screen. Hold down select and select Manage Memory Card from CwCheat main screen.
Select Load Memory Card 1 from Memory Stick.
It should say "OK!".
Exit CwCheat, select third option in main menu. Select 2nd option "Load" then upper one "Yes". Now it should load the memorycard.
You can check if everything's all right by checking if the four option in main menu are all enabled. If not, try to repeat the steps, sometimes it takes 2 tries.

FAQs:
- What happens when i load the save?
Select the first option, then you should see all the chapters. If you want to battle shin after the freeze part, just select the first chapter and hit start when you see the cutscenes. The game should resume at that point.
If it still gives problems, go for the second chapter.

Someone can hardly help you with that application. But there is a simpler solution.
Use cwcheat cheat code for your FFIX. Codes should be already inserted in the database.
If there aren't don't worry. Find your codes and covert it for cwcheat. Read this guide.

Probabily you wrong same passage. Try to read attentively the guide to first page or read this troubleshooting.


Why .mcr savegames don't works? (possible causes):

1) Save game must be in .mcr file.
2) Savegame file corrupt.
3) Savegame must be exactly rename in the correct way.
4) Savegame must have of the same country (PAL game CAN ONLY LOAD PAL SAVEGAME, you can't loading a ntsc savegame in a pal game, ect ect).
5) Savegame must have the same Id game, Example SCUS-12125 you can replace only it with anther savegame with SCUS-12125 Id code. (There can be various codes Id different for the same nation, for example game Pal but platinum ect ect. - Psx Tomb Raider Pal Id code is different from Tomb Raider Pal Platinum)
6)In PSX2PSP v1.2 (for example) you have changed the Id save, and .mcr file is no more compatible.
Example:
Id code =SCES-01000 Kula World (Ntsc)
Id savagame code =SCES-01000 .mcr

If you have edited Id savegame for example in SCES01008, is no more compatible, because Id code are different.

My Game asked me to save before the disc swap. Do i need to do all the guide to play from that save game?
No, you dont. Games like Xenogears,Final Fantasies and some others forces you to save before the disc swap. You need ONLY to create the second disc EBOOT using the DISC1 idCode. Use psx2psp if you already converted the eboots, and if you didnt, just use the gamelist.txt in the psx2psp folder to check what code the disc 1 of your game have. Just put back the eboot in your PSP and load the game using the CONTINUE or LOAD GAME of the game itself.

This is an awesome FFVII save to say the least, just finished beating both Emerald and Ruby, all characters at Lv 99 and max STATS. Great leveled up materia and best weaponry plus TONS of Gil to spend.

Ok...I 've been trying to catch up on the 42 page posting of thread and still feel like I am missing something. :(

I have a PSX emulator Version 3.30 in my PSP and am trying to play FF7 US Version SCUS-94163 Final Fantasy VII. I installed the CW Cheat successfully and downloaded the perfect FF7 save file.

When I go to CW Cheat, and load the file (.mrc file that I renamed with my previous save file...I got two results. One...is still empty. The other time I tried it, I got a corrupted file. Btw, I notice that the id file is different than the game id file. Which one should I use?
The game file is SCUS94163,my save file is SCUS94476 (this is a first save on a very early stage).

Can someone break this step by step? Or better yet, post a pimped up FF7 in PSP game save format (vsb or something), instead of .mcr file?
Any help is appreciated.

As says in the first page. Savegame must have same Id.

You have SCUS-94476 Id Savegame this is Hot shot golf 2 Id save region code.

Savegame work only with same Id region code and same region.

Ntsc save with Ntsc game.

The matter is very complicated.

What region is you FFVII?, NTSC, Pal or Jap?.

Try this.

Download PSX2PSP v1.3 - Popstation GUI and recompile the eboot.pbp Psx game. And try to change the ID SAVE GAME to SCUS94163

Probabilly is you have Id from HSG2, also toy Id savegame will be to HSG2.

Now in Italy are 3:30 AM. Now, I go in bed because because I have very sleepy.

Every time i enter a battle in my FF7 ISO is gives me all these different colors and then the game goes into static and freezes up on me... anyone have a explination why my game keeps crashing like this and if thats the case when i can get a ISO that will work?:D:D:D

It is a Ps2 game. For the moment, there isn't nothing to work or emulate Ps2 on psp. Maybe with firmware 5.00. ;)

Final Fantasy VII work perfectly only with 3.71.

If you have 3.71 custom firmware installed, no prob, but if you have another custom firmware, don't worry.

You can install 3.71 Pops plug-in.

In this way you can play to FF7.

It's been a while since I said anything about Parasite Eve 2, its bugs when on PSP and such, but I have good news for those who play it on PSP, ePSXe, their own PSX or even the PS2. I finally have a file save at the beginning of Disc 2 that I myself created and exported from when I was playing PE2 on my PSP. However, it's more for those who don't have a PSP, but has the ePSXe, PSX, or PS2. Either way, I hope it's helpful.

I should note that it's in a .gme format, so you may have to convert it to .mcr beforehand if you're going to use it on PSP or ePSXe. So, here it is without further ado...

hey guys, i have resident evil 3 on my psp 2000, f 3.90 m-33 3... it seems like we need vmp file to load stuff, but i cant find it on the internet, since most ps1 save game files are in gme format.plx find me a save file with all the unlockables and game completed profile which might support to my psp. :):D

This practically impossible, because every Vmp files are different, enough also to change an image of background, and the save is not compatible. The only solution is cwcheat.

Yes, this a nice trick. You can use Cwcheat code to take advantage to unlock dress and other things.

If cheat codes don't work, probabily you have a different region, or codes are wrong.

If you have Gran Turismo NTSC (is only an example) SLUS-11111, if you have modified region code in SLUS-22222, cheat don't work because they are setted to SLUS-11111.

If instead Cwcheat "software" don't work probabily you wrong same passage.

Sorry. No way, this is impossible.

I have explain some post ago.

With cwcheat, you can loading a .mcr savegame, and after save as a normal Psp savegame.

Pratically you generate a VMP.

But is impossible create .mcr in VMP directly, bacause VMP is cripted.

Your VMP savegame, (for ex Castlevania), is useless with my Castlevania VMP, bacause, .vmp contains a checksum of the Memory Card contained.

Seems like only certain parts are used to calculate the checksum.

I don't know what type of checksum is used (could be MD5, i'm not sure).

Im not sure if you check your tutorial thread often that you made*Was helpful for CWCheat btw*but im haveing issues. SCUS-94163 is the code for FFVII,i rename my MCR File SCUS-94163 and it doesent work. what am i doing wrong?

Solution:

You must rename savegame in scus_94163-0.mcr not SCUS-94163

Using CWCheat to swap memory cards:

Now CWcheat is very picky about how the memory card needs to be named, and it also needs to be in epsxe format. If your save is in another format then you need to convert it.

The epsxe save needs to be named after the game's Game ID. You can check the Game ID of a game by going to the SonyIndex ( http://www.sonyindex.com/) website and looking up your game.

Connect your USB cable and copy your epsxe save to X:\seplugins\cwcheat\mc\

Notice how there's a -0 at the end of the filename? You can have up to 255 of these saves, -1, -2, -3, etc. Now disconnect your PSP from your computer, and launch your PSX game.

To activate CWCheat, hold down the Select button (it may take 1-3 seconds). The CWcheat menu should pop up:

At the bottom is will show the name of your save game file where it says:

Currently selected memory card file:

Press Right or Left to change the epsxe save, then select your option. If you want to load the epsxe into your game, you'll want to select "Load memory card 1 from memory stick". If you want to back-up your savegame so you can copy it onto your computer (maybe put it back onto a Playstation system via your Dex Drive), select "Save memory card 1 to memory stick".

That should be it - good luck!

PSX2PSP 1.2 - Popstation GUI or higher
PSP Slim with a custom firmware
Workstation (A computer, of course.)
USB Connector for the PSP


Download Dark-AleX's latest Popsloader.
Extract it and copy the "seplugins" folder into your PSP and activate it on the Recovery Menu.
Download the official unmodified 3.11 pops. I highly recommend that you should create one for yourself by using the latest PSAR Dumper and downloading the 3.11 Official Firmware.
Modify your pops311.prx with the XVI32 Hex Editor.
Search and replace SLPS00025 with SLUS01042.
Place all the necessary 3.11 pops (popsman311.prx, pafmini.prx along with the modified pops311.prx) inside the seplugins/popsloader folder.
Modify the GameID of the Parasite Eve II Disc 2 [NTSC-US] EBOOT from SLUS01055 to SLUS0142 by using your preferred popstation. Use PSX2PSP 1.2 - Popstation GUI as a recommendation. Save it into a new EBOOT.PBP.
Now you both have the Parasite Eve II Disc 1 & 2 with the same GameID, and a working 3.11 pops to load the game.
Make two folders and place your Parasite Eve II Disc 1 & 2 EBOOT on separate folders. Ex. PEIID1, PEIID2
Be sure to run the game while holding the R button to select the 3.11 pops.
There you have it. =)

There is a cwcheat for every custom firmware, I don't remamber what is the correct...

anyway...

This isn't important because, usually, I can find generic savegame, type; last savegame, first savegame with all things, ect ect.

Specific savegame, like you is very very hard to find.

I did not find anything, I hope someone else can help.:o

For the freeze problem I know that perfectly work with 3.52 M33.

This is a list of know problem.


First form Deus has an attack that locks game. (beat him quickly)

3.52 m33: May freeze during the "Old Movie Countdown" scene. Use 3.40 if this happens.

There's no need to beat Deus quickly, you only must wait his attack wich drops his energy and yours at 50%, but do not fear, that attack do not kill anybody, then wait until his energy (and maybe yours) is below of 1000 HPs then use System ID with Fei and attack with X button, that attack should kill Deus, is important that you don't attack Deus before, if you do, then Deus will counterattack with the attack that freeze the game. By JuanMan.

3.71 M33: Seems to work without problems, except a small sound hitch upon leaving the Save menu. May be in the original game?

3.90 M33: Freezes after the "shatter" effect during the first battle of the intro, with a sound loop. Use 3.71 if you require multi-disc PBP support.

You are in 3.52 M33, the only solution (if you want downgrade) is Pandora Battery.

But if you want go to 4.01 M33, no need to go first in 1.50. Start to read the guide from Install 3.52 M33 Update 4 and follow all passages.:)

The only solution is to go in first page download savegame you need and use the guide.

There aren't savegame in VMP formed.

Because Psp eboot savegame are cripted.

I have unserstand because you see only a savegame and not Saga Frontier.

Because savegame is corrrupt.

Also link that you give me, isn't good. Because that produced from "Fallen Wings" has posted probabily a corrupt savegame.

However I have convert it for you, but i think don't will work.

Unfortunally there isn't other way....

As I say before. Vmp are crypted.

.mcr files can be "trasformed in Vmp".

Because load savegame from .mcr but when you save the game save in Vmp format.

Example.

If I want switch from disk one to disk two.

Simply made both eboot.bpb have same gameid, saveid and picture and they work fine and vmp savegame will load in second disk.

If you use your Vmp savegame on another console, also with same gameid, saveid and picture it to load disk 2, don't will work.

Because are cripted.

In many many private message, the people write me to open a new thread with savegame "already ready" to use in Vmp format.

But this isn't possible bacause Vmp are cripted.

Your Vmp don't work on another psp.
