Does anyone have an image of the revised 1.5 teaser? Judging from the time this first one was posted, its the initial release with the drive 6 issues.
Thanks!

My cube is tweaked.From 510 to 240-260Ohm.
Efal and Anaconda-Snake04 has the problems not.
GCOS 1.4 works great but more dre's then Efal,Anaconda-snake04.
my Pi/PO error Test is very good.
Is this a Problem of 50Hz/60Hz Problem by Pal Cube's?
I will try another method to copy the dol's on memcard.

Maybe its ur turn again Klaus? :D
would be cool

It's not an image, but these steps worked for me:
Rename the teaser dol to level3.dol
Run dol2gci
Run ctr-gcs with the -r command and it will upload to memory card, cube will ask to overwrite so press A on the controller
I assume you know how to use ctr-gcs so I won't explain it further.

Yes, thanks so much for the update Klaus - very much appreciated! I found that the original teaser release was giving DREs and "An Error has occured" messages when initially booting a game, the revision 2 works much better.

I loaded this raw image to my original 59 block card and it works fine. I then weanted to copy the GCOS .dol file to a non original 251 block card i have, so that I can select either o boot the 1.4 .dol or the new dol at startup.
But when I ty to access the the 59 block card in the memcard manager it just says that the card is corrupt. Can someone suggest if there is a fix for this ?
My cube is a PAL model with drive 04.

It shows corrupt because if the way ctr-gcs writes data to the card. If the raw image did not originally come from your card, then it will read as corrupt.
Here is something that may help you.

I'm having a problem with this. I re-did my whole mem card with pso from scratch and put the revisied version 2 of the gcos teaser on it then tried to boot using the ar method. I'm getting a rolling black screen. I have the right codes typed in and everything. I had this working fine with gcos 1.4 but I wanted to try out this version as well. Any ideas?
spcmnspff
08-31-2005, 08:29 PM
My guess would be that the files are not in their proper locations on the card. I had this problem a while ago, but I formatted the card and used the thing I posted and it worked.
Nick101181
09-01-2005, 06:45 PM
Well I tried everything all over again and same results still the same. Let me explain what I'm doing and then maybe you can guide me a little better.
First I set up the pso with all the network settings and all that jazz and get it saved to my mem card. Then I run ctr-gcs thru psul so that it connects and sees my memory card in slot a. then I use a gcos gui and pick restore image and choose the revised teaser image. then I type in the codes to make the AR boot the exploit from mem slot b. Then I select the ar code then open then lid, then close it, then get the black rolling screen. any ideas?
spcmnspff
09-02-2005, 12:45 AM
I may be wrong here, but I don't think you need to type in any codes as long as you are using the image posted. The card image should contain the level2 boot loader, level3.dol, and the AR code file with the AR entry already in it. Another thing it may be is that the codes are for US so if you have the EU version AR the codes may be different. So, look under the US codes section for the Action Replay entry and use that.
klaus4040
09-02-2005, 03:46 AM
My images work "out of the box" with no need to add codes (maybe your AR need other codes, don't know) it has as said aAR-Codebase, level2.bin and level3.dol (gcos) on it . i'm using EU version of AR (ver 1.12) and it works great with it -> you have to insert the memcard into slot b by the way
Nick101181
09-02-2005, 06:12 AM
ok I'll try that out when I get home from work. I was just getting confused because I used to use the ar 1.14 hack with the codes. So to use this How do I boot from the AR screen then? I do have my mem card in slot b and I do have a NA ar on a NTSC GC. Thanks
klaus4040
09-02-2005, 10:06 AM
boot AR , choose start game ---> open-> close lid and it should start just fine (i use AR 1.12 but codebase originally is for 1.14 (from one of the old packages with gcos 1.4) so it should be no problem ;))

Is the image you're restoring to your card an image of the same sized card?
If they are not the same size or are not both official Nintendo memory cards, it probably won't work.
Nick101181
09-02-2005, 06:13 PM
Well I tried to do what you suggested but after opening the lid, it takes me to that scrolling black screen then it boots up the ar again. I can get the raw ar 1.14 to work with the codes but not this one. I'm gonna clear off my Ar card and mem card and try it all over again. It's ok that I'm using a gui prog to transfer over the raw image right? I waited until it's completed. Anyway I'm using a official 59 memory card .
Nick101181
09-02-2005, 07:25 PM
after doing some more testing I see that the ar 1.14 raw image writes back fine to my card but even though the gui for ctr-cgs says it wrote the revisied 2 image it doesn't. I noticed that with the ar image it actually says writing image on the screen when I have ctr-gcs launched. So does anyone else have any ideas why it's not working for me. Can someone tweak the ar 1.14 raw image to included the new gcos in it? I noticed all the ar 1.14 image is is a level3.dol and the datelcod.bin . I know that the level3.dol is gcos 1.4b, could someone try to make this the dol loader menu and the new gcos for me please? thanks

09-02-2005, 11:56 PM
Use the program I posted on the first page. It will write files to your memory card with the menu option or the direct boot into GCOS. Then when you get that working you can write the new teaser to your card like I explained on the first page as well.
Nick101181
09-03-2005, 09:27 AM
I tried the program but I couldn't get that to work. I got it to write the files on a mem card for me and all but still ctr-gcs never would write the revisied image for me. what I ended up doing was putting the ar 1.14 raw hack back onto card, then once in gcos 1.4b2 i used dolstream to send ctr-gcs to the card. Then I took the revisied 2 image and converted it to level3.dol then overwrote it. Now it works when I go to the code screen and pick ar then boot it. I also then converted the install.dol to install.gci and tried to see if i would get the dol menu but it still boots straight to the new gcos. Oh well as long as it works I suppose. thanks :)

yeah, I'd like the menu but I'll fiddle around with it later today. I do got pso. What I did to save time I put my pso stuff on my 1019 card and use my 59 card for this. I don't think you can fit too many gci's and the ar 1.14 hack on a 59 card. I went to add another gci to it and it said no space on the card. Thanks for all your help. Just one more quick question does the new gcos teaser have an audio-fix on the fly? thanks

I'm unclear as to what the ar 1.14 hack is, but if it's the patched ar dol it will not fit on a 59 card. You should be able to fit the menu, teaser dol, and codes file on a 59.

SpacemanSpiff - I believe he means this thread. (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4235&highlight=ctrgcs)
(Thats firefox I hope it didnt mess up the link.)
psul.exe -i 192.168.1.100 "C:\gcmc\ctr-gcs.dol"
Now turn on the cube and start the PSO online game.
Wait for the connection to PC then type this:
ctr-gcs.exe -ir b ar_memcard_hack_1.14.raw
This was th old way I loaded my card. I read someone said use -r command, so that last line would now be ctr-gcs.exe -r b gcos_1_5_teaser_revised_2_59blocks.raw ? No? I don't even know what the -ir and b are for. But it worked :)

b means: load to card in slot b and -ir means u load a raw-image (not a prog or savegame but a whole image of the card)
-r means retore backup/prog (maybe i misschanged this the first time so -ir is right)
EDIT: just saw i didn't write the -r thing ....

Thanks nukleuzdj. I was able to get your image to work. Just one problem when I try to use the ctr-gcs -r b whatever.gci command it tells me no free space on the card. I was wanting to replace that ngc ripper that doesn't work in the image for the new ninja2 bios and also add ctr-gcs to the card. why is it tell me the card is full? I was pretty sure the ar hack plus 2 or 3 dols only took up around 23 blocks on the card. if you have an image with ninja 2 bios and ctr-gcs with the dol menu, could you please upload it? thanks

Rename the dol you are going to be adding to the name of the dol you will be replacing. Then put it through dol2gci it will then ask to overwrite. The ninja2 bios is rather large uncompressed so it won't fit on a 59 block card, even by itself. When compressed it is still rather large, but you only have 512 KB to work with on a 59 block, so it will take up about half on its own.

Unlikely, as far as I can tell teaser 3 will not boot at all with the AR/memcard method. Hopefully this is fixed soon....
I have no idea how this all works, but loading a raw image works all the time.

Weird, your raw image works fine for me but when I copied the new T3 dol to my memcard it didn't. What method did you use for transferring you DOL to the memcard? I just converted the AR version of the DOL to a GCI and then uploaded it using CTR-GC (or whatever its called), replacing the T2 level3.dol.
This upgrade route worked fine when going from T1 to T2 so I can't understand why it didn't work for me.

That's indeed weird because I exactly did it the way you decribe?! (Did not compress the .dol btw)

How does the AR function of this teaser work? I know on the previous versions you had to actually boot the game till it got to the region select screen then send over the ar dol. If you just sent over the AR dol without getting to the region select screen, it wouldn't know that the game was in the drive when you were using the AR.

I still never got the AR function of the new teaser to work at all. IT says dolup code closed then shows all this error mumbo jumbo then just crashes. I gave up and just stuck gcos 1.4b6 on my mem card, because that one works lovely with codes. Once you load the disc and get to the country select screen then stream the dol.
emu_kidid

Try streaming the dol over with d0lz 2.0. That seems to work for some people. It worked fine for me with dolstream and AR108.dol.

For some reason if I use any of the raw images on my official 59 card it works, but the official memory card manager thinks the memory card is corrupt, thus I can't delete files. Plus I can't ever launch anything else off the memory card since there's no dol loader, it goes straight to gcos.
Is there a raw image anywhere that doesn't confuse the official memory card manager os and has a boot selector?
Here is Gcos teaser 2 and Ninjashell 203 59block raw image.
- Use Ninjashell for streaming audio games (30 sec's shareware delay)
- Use Gcos for the rest.
Gcos Teaser 3 is to big to fit on a 59blocks memorycard with ninjashell...
but teaser 2 works perfect on my cube. (teaser 3 give's me random DRE's)
Enjoy

When GCOS 1.4 was released, a lot of people (including myself) had a lot of problems trying to write the GCOS files to 59 blocks memory cards (even the original ones).
Somebody (I'm sorry, but I can't remember) created a little application that automated the file transfer to the memory card thru psul, called vhqcardwriter (or vhcardwriter).
It has a .bat file, that opens a command window and sends all 3 files to memory card, giving you the option to include Anaconda only, GCOS only or all of them thru a menu.
Actually, this has been the ONLY succesful way I can write GCOS to my memory card (trying to use ctr-gcs manually always corrupts my original memory card).
It is a great app, but it is for use with GCOS 1.4 only.
Has somebody (besides me) know it or use it before?
Can anybody adapt it to use with the GCOS 1.5 teasers?
If nobody knows it, I will post it here tomorrow.
It a easy-enough-for-newbies (like me) application, that could help some people with the same problems I have with ctr-gcs.
Thanks!

@test: I tried that ninja bios image you just posted. When I choose ninja, it gets to a scrolling black and white screen that says Buy NinjaMod real big at the top. It has other stuff below it but I can't make it out. What's wrong? I was looking forward to that fix for streaming audio games.
It seems that your tv cant handle the PAL signal. (ninjashell default output signal is pal)
You can change the video output from PAL to NTSC.
NTSC mode: Z
PAL mode: Y
Restart Gamecube: X

Thanks, I never would have guessed to hit the Z button. Here's what I've accomplished so far: I go down to the choice which is below the last visible selection on the main menu. Here I change video mode to ntsc. I change my gc ip address to 192.168.1.32 Should the gateway be my router ip or my pc? I tried them both and IE finds no file when I select "backup game to pc" which is also off the bottom of the screen. I think the subnet mask is fine at 255.255.255.0 What am I doing wrong now?
Forget Ninjashell and try Gcos for creating backups. Never had problems with Gcos.
Use the default settings in Gcos, and change your PC ip to 192.168.1.100
Click here DOWNLOAD (http://192.168.1.32/backup.iso) and start downloading.

I do use GCOS all the time. I'm trying to learn this ninjamod thing for games such as Fantastic4 and Mario Baseball. I know my network is setup right because GCOS works fine. gc ip = ...32 pc ip = ...100 Wait, maybe you're saying ninjamod should be used to load an iso from the pc when I want to play streamed audio games. I was hoping this thing would rip these games to be burned to ritek mini's.

But I had to create a new image from scratch (or nearly *g*)!!!

Get your fully working teaser 3 59blockimage now!
EDIT YEAH Disc-Browser and MP3 now works tooo!!!!!!
Always thought it was because of unfinished gcos but it was the image

Ok Here is my gcos Teaser Revised 4 59 blocks image!
It works form me like a charme!
But watch out! :: I used GCoST4(PSO).dol instead of GCoST4(AR&MAXDRIVE).dol for this release, because GCoST4(AR&MAXDRIVE).dol was not booting but GCoST4(PSO).dol does!
I trust emu_kidid and he decided to make a modified version for AR and Maxdrive. I don't know the exact difference but u might experience broken things because of using a version that wasn't supposed do be used with this methode.
If the GCoST4(AR&MAXDRIVE).dol gets fixed, i'll provide a new image here, so check for possible updates or responce from emu_kidid.

actually rename gcos 1.5 (pso).dol to gcos.dol and use the command dol2gci GCoS.dol GCoS.gci
(i just tried the above option and it didnt work because of spaces but i didnt think of that cus i rename my gcos to level3.dol and make the gci so gcos autoboots from the action replay without using the dol loader menu)

Or he could use quotes..
dol2gci "GCoS 1.5 (pso).dol" "GCoS 1.5 (pso).gci"
But either way works. ;)

I am running a 251 Block card so the Raw Images posted wont help me
I have tried to use dol2gci with no luck it just doesnt seem to work on my System
Could someone please post a GCoS.gci so I can update
Still running GCoS 1.4 and having to send 1.5 via PSO everytime is really getting old
Thanks in advance

Here I'm back again with a little piece of sweetness for us AR-Booters:
1 Memcard Image to cover them all (until 1.x acceptes dvd+r)
1 x GCoS 1.x BETA for most things
1 x GCoS 1.5 final for dvd+r and stuff removed from GCoS 1.x if needed (compressed using d0lLZ v3.0 to fit on 59 blocks)
1 x Selection-Screen (gave me some screen probs but just press up/down - A-button and it works my screen doesn't update (damn pinnacle usb-tv-card))
Its the old selection screen some might remember or still use, don't know what it hates about me :p
Thx
PS this time I didn't forget to upload (but almost *g*)

Just place it in dvd data and burn as slow speed?
I only have un-modded GC and 59 block memory card.
Can i use AR copy disc on my un-mod GC and where can i get AR copy?
I am very new to GC. Thanks

Hi
Sorry to sound noobish but how do you put a raw image in the memory card?
And how do you make your official memory card to be recognized by the Action Replay?
Thanks in advance...:)
