    Pursuit Force

I've tried opening it in winrar but no result. Winrar is unable to open that kind of file type !

Anybody a suggestion on how to rip the .pak files?

Here is my methodology if dummying doesn't work.

1st: I identify the smallest file of the type I am going to replace. whether it be movie or music
2nd: I copy that file a bunch of times and then rename it to be exactly the same as the file I want to relink/replace, I do this after I delete the file I am replacing otherwise I will get an error.
3rd: I rebuild it normally using UMD Gen, but when working with this game I was using Vcdromx at the time.

Try this I hope it helps, if not post your step by step instructions and someone will try to help

    Cheers.

He did some tests and here the results.

In SOUND\ENG you have a lot of sound files and the basic structure is:

xxxx_a.zss (or zsm, whatever) is the (ridiculous) ambient files and the total in mb is 162mb - wind sound, sirene sounds - you must rip it.
xxxx_c.zss is the musics files. Total 305mb
xxxx_v.zss is the voices during the cut scenes and dialogs (rip it too). Total 167mb
xxxx_d.zss and xxxx_m.zss are good sound effects during the game. Fire, water, etc. These files are small, i think you don't need to remove these. Total I don't know.
sounds\eng\x\_\x_voice.zss thats the voices of all xmen. Total 137mb (i like it)

Game without any sound has 440mb aproximated.

    He made two rips:

1 - With 913mb - with xmen voices, musics and little sounds ("d" and "m" files) - ripped the "v" and "a" files (voices in cutscenes and ambient sounds).
2- With 565mb - with xmen voices and little sounds ("d" and "m" files) - ripped the "v", "c" and "a" files. (voices in cutscenes, musics and ambient sounds)

Note: the ambient files are ridiculous and has 165mb.
To rip the files, in this game, just delete then.

I only ripped ("c" and "v") music and cutscene voices and have a working 748mb rip Thanks Alot

    Noob

I be a Noob, I need some help.

I made an iso of my Kingdom Of Paradise UMD

When I try to apply the 916mb rip-kit, found via a link on this forum, It simply creates a 0 bite iso file.

The rip-kit states that I should place the ISO in the same directory as the rip-kit and then apply the kit. The name of the iso is as stated in the rip-kit. MD5 signature also matches.

    Anybody any ideas?

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 Remixes

    Hi mi first post here
I have tip for rip this without loosing music.

Maybe its bad but works for me

    Extract iso and now
    go to PSP_GAME\USRDIR\STREAMS\

    and delete file streamsp.wad
after this create 0 file size with the same name as deleted: streamsp.wad
This will compact ur legit copy.
If u want shrink it more go to PSP_GAME\USRDIR\MOVIES\
do a copy from file nsbails.pmf and replace bigger files (but filename must be original from replaced file)
    e.g.:
copy the name of file probail1.pmf
    delete it
do a copy of file nsbails.pmf and rename it to probail1.pmf
the same thing with next file
(with this u can save space
if u want maximum shrink del all files in PSP_GAME\USRDIR\MUSIC\
i will try to shrink it more
if u have time pls test stability with 0 size file streamsp.wad.
    Thx for this great forum.

Kingdome of Paradise, which files to rip?

Does anyone know which pmf files I can safely rip from Kingdom of Paradise without loosing anything important. I've already ripped the browser and the update folders but the iso is still too large for a 1 gig stick. I've tried the 916 ripkit on 2 seperate computers and it produces an unusable iso (too small) so I need to do this manually. Thanks in advance.

    EDIT

After few hours and with the help of pmf player I tracked down the files I needed to rip. If anyone else wants to rip this manually, here's the list.

    Remove:
    Update folder
    Browser folder

    Dummy:
    USRDIR/mdata/ev_03_11.pmf and ev_10_01.pmf
    USRDIR/mdata/usa/ev_03_11.pmf, ev_10_01.pmf and OP_00.pmf

This'll remove two short crowd demo vids and the the opening vid.

That's it. Hope this helps someone at some point.
