Liteon DG-16D2S Erase/Flash Support Here! DONT think its a brick read first.

Hello Friends,

This is decent.... I finally installed .NET 2.0 and Port I/O 32 of """Winford engineering"""

But when I connect my xbox 360 drive to PC the drive can't detect on device manager nor provide detect information on bottom right panel ( where time/date ).

I connect SATA cable to PC and provide power from XBOX 360's 12 pins power cable.

Whats the right steps I need to do to detect the dvd drive on windows?
I am using Jungleflasher >> But it is 2nd step.

This Procedure is solved ! I detect dvd drive at jungle flasher...............But I think one problem When I start LiteOn Erase and click 2 times YES.......

After that I thought some problem in procedure ...................Because chip properties area none instead of GOOD.
than I connect DVD DRIVE TO XBOX 360 include SATA and POWER both from XBOX 360 and when push the DVD DRIVE button, the tray can't out......

I check again & again ....................Is DVD DRIVE BRICKED?

But one thing I have Original DVD KEY : ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Waiting for some body who provide me some good techniques/tutorial to complete this flashing

I just Click liteON ERASE and after the attempting failed I disconnect from my PC ! after that my drive did'nt open on XBOX 360 !

Is this possible to unlock this JUNE 2009 version?

If you have good dumps from that driver, then you are ok

Try erase again, and again,

then spoof and flash the drive.

You won't be able to use it until you have flash it with ixtreme.

I know this is a response to a fairly old question, however if anyone else reading this suffers from the same problem, here is the solution.

If you do have the drive in vendor mode but with no flash chip properties, just power cycle the drive (turn off then back on, if using a ck3 or the likes, use power switch, if using console power, just pull the power cable from the back of the dvd-drive then plug back in) and then click intro, this should refresh the flash chip properties and then you can proceed with flashing your hacked firmware.
There is NO need to use dosflash to recover liteons from a bad flash, jungleflasher handles the job perfectly. (It helps if you have a nforce or via sata controller too)

i dont suppose someone could do a list of the exact stuff you need to flash a lite on plz ive done a few xboxs but this is the first lite on cheers

depends on what drive it is for the 7000 you need to buy a probe like usb xtractor, 8000 v1 you do not need anything extra, 8000 v2 you need to do the mra hack or use something like the lt switch, same for the 9000 drive

to do the rma hack you need a 22 ohm resistor, exacto knife, wires, switch and soldering tools, the rma hack will work on any drive and dumps the whole firmware instead of just the key.
