The guy that is debunking it is a little knowledgeable but what bothers me is that he keeps talking about a fucking PRE-IPL and how it needs to be updated.

I can confirm its another fake.

They've edited a few 5.55 files and the GAME folder is totally useless.
I replaced them with real 5.55 files and still no 5.55 games work.

They've tried to make a hybrid 5.50/5.55 and it didn't work.

well, based on the post i read, (the one in english that was linked)...it was basically a hex edit of 5.50gen-b2 with some files thrown in from 5.55.

so graphically, i think it works like 5.55, but if it loads those games, im not sure, didnt bother translating and reading with google..

some posts are in Turkish, some are in Russian. i think most is Turkish.

if it was like back in the days, when we had firmware loaders from memory stick, we could edit and mix all the files we needed to make new games run back in the days when i actually used to make games work myself, and not just applying a hack someone else told me about

• You de-solder the main IC from the board
• You melt the die using a dissolving acid
• You use a scanning electron microscope, a whole bunch of logic probes and other very expensive hardware/software to pick out the points where the pre-ipl is located
• You manufacture your own pre-ipl and insert it into the die
• You rebuild the die and re-solder it to the board
• Done!

Anyway, obviously another fake... i really can't see why there is just so many of these this time!

That first part was funny. :P

I think the reason for all the fakes is been so long since OFW came out and no CFW so people are trying to make a name for themselves fake or not.

There have been 2 or 3 actual firmwares released. Even if they are fake at least they have tried and not just made a fake video.
They might actually work for one person but they need to work for everyone to be an actual CFW. So, either get it working before releasing it or expect to get flamed as a fake like you probably are anyway.

If DA or GEN did make a CFW then there would be no fakes as nobody would care, there would be a CFW that works but as it is everyone is after a CFW so there is a need so the fakers come out and do their stuff.

I don't understand the fakers. I got flamed and I was actually trying so what do the fakers expect?
I think Team MACK are the worse as they tried to convince it was real even after all that proof its fake. They should expect a lot more than online flaming. Probably real life flaming....(Napalm)

I just replaced all the files with real 5.55 files and the firmware works but it still wont run 5.55 games but it does run older games.

If it cant run 5.55 games then its kinda useless.
