    About DC and OFW 6.00

I want to install OFW 6.00 but still be able to use DC8 for the test M33 option. I've seen a DC mod for installing 5.55 but not for 6.00. If I run the normal official Sony updater will I still be able to use DC8 afterwards?

Yeah, I know and I already have both of them. I just want to know if using the official method of installing 6.00 and not using the DC method will overwrite my current DC setup.

There is no DC method for instaling the 6.00 or the 5.00(i mean there is no cfw for these versions).
If you instal the of 6.00 you will not be able to run any homebrews/emus/isos(the backup of your games)...
I hope i answer you question!!!

Look, I'm thankful for you trying to help but I think you don't get what I'm trying to do. I know that there is no CFW 6.00 and I really don't care if there ever will be one.
I'm running 5.00M33 at the moment. Now with Despertar del Cementerio (DC) you are able to use a emulated version of 5.00M33. The option is called Test M33. There is also another option in Despertar del Cementerio to install a OFW. In the latest Mod of DC I've found this would be 5.55 OFW.
Now what I want to do is install a OFW with Despertar del Cementerio and use the Test M33 for my homebrew needs. There is no question here, I know that this works.
What I want to know is if using the official method of installing 6.00 and not the DC method will overwrite my current DC setup.

Ok, running the official updater on a different memory stick worked. Now I'm ready for GT.

OP has a resolution however, to clear this up:

Installing official firmware WILL NOT overwrite your "DC Setup" as DC is installed on the memory stick...

    What he wants is:
    • 6.00 Official on NAND (Installed from 6.00 Official eboot)
    • DC8 on the MMS (Already has this)
    • and a pandora battery (Already has this)

Official firmware installs do not interfere with the memory stick (They write files to NAND), or DC files contained within said memory stick (I know from experience). You are perfectly safe to have your MMS inserted while installing a firmware update (At time of writing this...)

nikomania-$: Have another read through the thread... you seem a little confused as to what OP was asking.

So am I correct in reading that this method will allow us to essentially "dual boot" M33 and OFW 6?

If your psp can use pandora now - you're fine. you'll be able to boot test m33 REGARDLESS of what firmware you're running.

I'm sorry but, why don't people get this about pandora/DCvX?!

I've often thought that, after the initial "****, what am i doing" thoughts in my head cleared, i understood the mechanics of pandora/mms... It's really quite simple to understand what's going on.

Well obviously I knew that I could the test m33 option as I never asked about it. I was asking if using the official method of updating could delete the iplloader which Despertar del Cementerio installs on the MS. Like some kind of new security measure or something.

But yeah, English is not my native language so maybe I should have make myself clearer.
