Is a Toshiba/Samsung TS-H493 PC drive Kreon or 0800 firmware compatible?

Just like the title, its a pc dvd/cd rom drive its sata just wandering, seems like it would be 0800 compatible as it is numbered like its 360 counter part, let me know please....

i don't think so, pc drives are kreon compatible.

360 drives are the ones that are 0800 compatible.

does it really make a difference ? lol.

just flash which ever firmware applies.

Thats the problem its model number would put it in the same group as the xbox 360 Toshiba/Samsung TS-H493 drive i am just wandering if any on has had success or if its even possible theres not a lot on the net about the pc i am hoping that it could be a cheap alternative to the samsung 162's kreon drive, does any one have a idea?

well i geuss i am just gonna have to order a few and try to apply 0800 firmware to the drive and try backing up some of my games i was just trying to see if anyone else had done one of these there really cheap <15 bucks versus the going rate of $30-45 for a samsung sd-162 and unlike the the 360 dvd drive i can mount this PC DVD drive in my PC
