    Just for fun, since it requires 5.55:

    Soul Calibur - Broken Destiny
    Region = USA
    5.50 GEN B2 can decrypt
    5.50 GEN B2 can boot it, but it crashes after quick match opponent selection

    There was a big thread about soul calibur. It was discovered that in addition to encryption, the game maker (Bandai) put in their own cfw checking routine.
    If you see dancing numbers at the vs screen before the match starts Bandai has discovered you!

    The new game decrypters created recently can now handle the decryption part of the retail games but they cannot patch what Bandai did, nor can the programs be expected to.

    To defeat it and play as normal in m33 or GEN, after you do your normal decryption, add below to your cwcheat cheat.db file. Or convert the cheats to your favorite psp cheat program. Enable the cheat at the title screen.

    The cheat tricks the games into thinking it has passed Bandai's cfw test. The cheats works on all version of the game jap,euro,usa as the address is the same. Hope this help clear things up about this game.

    @stonercold: Weird! I bought Tetris Mini from the store using my 5.50B2 GEN PSP, and once I stripped the store DRM, the ISO wouldn't load until I did the decryption. Using UMDGen, I saw that it was only tagged 5.50 for System Firmware, but on the store it specifically states it needs FW 6.00. (None of the other minis say that.) Maybe I was just going too fast and missed a step or something. I guess I did if other people were playing it a-ok.

    @faceless81: You're a sweetie, that really helps, thanks!

    @thread: Two more games for you..

    Just hexedit the eboot and you're done
    SCBD Fix:
    1. Open the eboot in a hexeditor.
    2. Search for the MEMSTICK until MSTK_PRO.IND line, highlight that part and switch to hexview, replace the highlighted part with zeros.
    3. Search for SAVEDATA and change it to PAVEDATA (6x)
    4. Save the edited file.
    5. Use the edited eboot to build the new game.
    No more dancing numbers
    btw. this was not discovered by me, just found the solution somewhere on the net...
    Thanx to D_A aka Team M33 (for keeping the scene alive)

    Update:

    SMT: Persona
    Region = US
    5.03 GEN-A can decrypt (since v2)
    5.03 GEN-A cannot play (incl. v3)

    EDIT: Hold off on updating this first, I read another thread where user chen2 says he patched Persona TWICE, once with v3 and then again with Eboot Patcher, although I though v3 was supposed to incorporate EBP. I'll try again his way and see how it goes.

    EDIT Update: I still cannot get Persona to work on 5.03 GEN-A, even though I've tried using both v3 and EBP, and I'm sure I've done everything correct (patched Eboot, force-matched LBAs, etc.).

    Update 2: Tried v4. Same results. Meh.

    By the way, the game just starts into a permanent black screen, but it's not a total hang, I can use Home to quit back to the XMB. It just remains at a blackscreen with no audio whatsoever permanently.

    chen2's post is here [forums.maxconsole.net/showpost.php?p=1179343&postcount=41] for reference, so take that as you will.

    Here let me correct myself..

    For the PSP there are 10 different regions. They are as follows:

    00 = J = Japan
    01 = U = North America
    02 = A = Australia / New Zealand
    03 = E = UK
    04 = K = Korea
    05 = H = Hong Kong / Singapore
    06 = T = Taiwan
    07 = R = Russia
    08 = C = China
    09 = M = Multi5 (This means it's good for 5 different regions)

    Does this help you out and explain where I got the T from? Also the T is from someone who reported the game not from me.

    You can't use A for Asia as Asia is split into 4 different regions. China, Hong Kong, Korea and, Taiwan. Which region did that Asian game come from?

    All games updated from information provided here.

    i`m talking about psp games region codes.

    ULAS-42164 - Asia
    ULKS-46209 - Korea

    most games for Asia regions includes Chinese and Korean languages.
    Australia region for games doesnt exist , all games for Australia its europe versions - UxES , so it the same game with another print cover.

    about this 09 = M = Multi5 (This means it's good for 5 different regions) - can u show me atleast one psp game of this type ?

    That list I got from LAN.ST when referring to IDStorage. It is the proper list of hardware region codes for the PSP. Not including Multi5 which Dany23 has corrected me on.

    I have seen plenty of releases that have MULTI5 and not a region which is the reason why I listed that. I have Tekken_Dark_Resurrection_Multi5_PSP I personally ripped from a friend. The UMD Code is: UCES00356 so I guess it's actually Europe. eh?..

    Is it possible to get you to give me a complete list of regions for the the PSP Games so I can update it properly.

    So we have:

    A = Asia (China, Hong Kong / Singapore, Taiwan)
    E = Europe (Europe, Australia/New Zealand, UK)
    J = Japan
    K = Korea
    U = North America

    Where does Russia come in? It's the only one without a region for games

    Here is the full hardware region codes for the PSP..

    Code:
