Nintendo encouraging folks to snitch on Tokyo R4 sellers

According to reports Nintendo are encouraging folks to tip them off about shops who sell the R4 flash cart. Nintendo has reportedly offered an anonymous reporting service.

Nintendo are offering a service whereby anonymous shoppers can tip off the manufacturer about shops that are offering the legally-iffy R4 Revolution device. The cartridge allows for 'data' (read: homebrew and, mostly, illegal ROMs of games) to be loaded from a Micro SD card onto a Nintendo DS. Tokyo's Akihabara and Osaka's Den Den Town are rife with people selling the products even today, despite many companies (including Nintendo) cracking down on its distribution.

    Talking

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Why snitch when N don't pay me.
Give me $100 per store and I'll be a snitch. Then I can buy a few R4's and sell them myself. :P

    F U C K that.

give me some comp. and we be talkin' see.

cause nintendo aint gonna "pay it forward" to me. then F U CK it. "good will" doesn't exist anymore. its called MOTIVATION.

pirates keep the profits of nintendo in LINE.

cause even if there was no piracy, games would still be expensive because they KNOW you will PAY for it. *SO DON'T SAY THAT PIRACY INCREASES GAME PRICES...lame legalistics excuse*

so arrr...lets scourge the seven sea's and swashbuckle mattes!

Everyone I know orders these types of things online... Not too many shops sell them in the states.

Would be kind of cool though not having to wait.

doubtful, piracy was an issue long before the internet...there is just a lot more focus on it now
