Maybe it's different than EUR version. It's just stuck in the intro.
Are you try the UMD? Are you try change the backups loading mode?
Already tried with UMD, still stuck. Dump it to iso, also stuck. Turn it to cso, same problem. Try decrypt it with Decrypter v4, still the same problem.

The firmware not uses any custom load code to load UMDs, so, if its fails too, perhaps the problem is the UMD unit.
Try your UMD in another console.
test umd: sonynp
using EUR version for 5.00 M33-6 and its works perfect with that umd mode.
Maybe works the same for gen.
