No. There have been no public announcements and there possibly never will be. CFW is very difficult to put together, no one has skills like DA had.

PSP 1.5 got on USA first day is was 1.5 till Xmas 2006 now 4.01 M33 -> 5.00 M33-6(1.50 addon)
It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

Im not closing this thread I said nothing about downloading the games for free
all I wanted to know was how will I play the games that reqiured it and still keep the custom firmware
did you read my post
you can play MOST games on 5.00 m33-6 or 5.03 CFWs (by decrypting and patching), or 5.50 GEN-D2 or 5.03 gen-B(the FW with do the decrypting and patching as you run the game)

gen gets credit for the decryptor, nothing else until they make they're own brand new 6.00+ cfw, which it seems they never will.

I don't like the fact the hacking scene only seems to be advancing because people want to play new ISOs. We need a custom Firmware 6.00 for more reasons than just that. As it is it's only encouraging piracy because GEN is releasing custom Firmware updates that make it possible to pirate new games.
Great things often happen for all the wrong reasons, almost all portable media was created for the distribution of pornography (VHS, DVD...), encryption in its earliest form was used to hide conversations of crimes (Murders, assassinations etc).
Piracy is bad... but ultimately, it happens... don't worry about it.
As for 6.00-6.20M33, don't hold your breath... Dax is down.. but from what i hear, he isn't out... not yet anyway.
He keeps saying that.
I have a belief in the corner of my mind that he's just trolling everyone (like he did before) but more of me believes he's silently retired.
I have a different theory, it'll all come out eventually, probably in a big explosion of scene drama as usual...
