help plz...lite-on 74850C won't detect

can someone please help me.. i've followed all the tutorials but still having problems..

-i have a sata raid 6421 controller
-xtractor pro w/ probe
-newest version of jungle flasher

so i do what everyone one says, desable the sata board, erase the driver, enable sata board, reboot..

go into jungleflasher, and find the port.

only problem is; my sata board comes up, but not my drive..DRIVE IS undetected..tried in the xtractor reader as well,,

i'm plugging my xtrator in with the USB, instead on a serial..and there was a time it would go to in jungleflasher COM 3, usb!!

but i can't figure out whats happening, or maybe i just need to try with a serial cabler..

any suggestions????

what about installing portio32 drivers?

you also need to get the usb drivers for the ck3pro off team xecuters sites for usb support.you run the driver first then plug your kit in,also you will need to select the usb port when you finaly get it running,default for jungleflasher is port 1 (if not mistaken) so you will have to select the correct com port that corresponds to your usb lead off the kit,usualy it is just another port number that is active ie:jungleflasher might default to 1 and there might also be 3 so you pick 3.

so get them usb drivers and also portio32.

i hope you aint running fancy windows and what not as i run xp and best realy for hacking.

i suggest you use the onboard sata if you have it and ditch the card.

i'm using a maximus xtractor..and my guess is my comp is recognizing it, hence not recognizing my drive...

any suggestions???

so you recon the computer is not recognising the maximus xtractor,i aint exactly clued up on this kit as i got ck3 pro.

when using usb isnt it supposed to show up on your pc as a device,like on the bottom right?

are you using some fancy windows as this might be the prob.

are all your usb ports and the sata enabled.use the master sata port,it should be marked with either 0 or 1.

like i say,use the onboard sata,ditch the card if you are struggling with it.

My comp originally recognized the xtractor, with the USB. But haven't been able to get it to work since then

it needs to be available to use on the pc.when you initialy installed the drivers just like most devices that require software you will see the device popup on the window usualy in the bottom right,after that it isnt always necessary for the device to popup or for windows to say it sees the device.it does not with the ck3 pro,only get popup for the device the first time its usb drivers are installed.

so you might be thinking "its not recognised" but,the computer dont need to recognise the kit,it only needs for the kit to be working.if anything you need the drive to be recognised now.

if the kit has all of a sudden gone faulty (not the first time its happened) then nothing you do will work.

Don't think it's my xtractor, still eject button still works, also the probe too

I have an extractor, it works fine. Have you tried different sata ports? My pci board only detects the drive on the one at the top, the others don't work.
You need the VIA drivers removed, just like it says in the tutorial, need usb drivers from maximus site and portIO. Also, is the drive already flashed with ixtreme? Before you connect, you should have the tray half open.

EDIT: One thing, can you see the blue led on the maximus on? BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO CONNECT THE POWER CABLE REVERSED.
