Reports of "un-moddable" Lite-on keys being dumped

    http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/...ZuWYFeLiTv.php

There have been several news reports on Xboxhacker.net of users having success in dumping the keys of the newest un-moddable Liteon DVD drives. The methods posted so far are not for the beginner so do so at your own risk. The method seem crude at the moment, no doubt some easier methods will surface shortly. Remember with that DVD key you can install any flash-able DVD drive to that once un-moddable Xbox 360. Good job to all involved !

-Lift pin 101 and 122 (The MT Chip)
-solder a cable to pin 100, pin 101 and one to 3,3V
-use a 2-way switch which either connects 101 to 3,3V or to 100
-put the switch into the position so that it connects 100 to 101
    -power drive
-start Dosflash, it will recognise the SPI with Status x72
-if you read it out now, it will just give you a .bin full of FFFFFFFF, but thats OK, this is how we tricked the Flash Controller to think the SPI is empty
-put the switch in the other position (so that 101 is connected to 3,3V)
    -now read the flash

i would suggest you practice this on a similar chip you might find on a waste board of some type, might be ok lifting the legs its if they need putting down again that the prob will most likely occur.

that said i can imagine after doing this people might find the they are getting error on console regardless.

quite alot of progress has been made since a few 'clues' were revealed by a certain someone, in fact you can do the whole job now without actually touching the controller chip (removing epoxy, lifting legs etc), there are points underneath the logic board you can solder to and traces that need to be cut, if you want to know more you will need to visit xbh.
I can say it has been confirmed to work on all current liteon drives with success, there isn't hacked firmware for the liteon 93450c as yet however you could easily flash the drive with 83850c spoofed firmware, seeing as the hardware itself hasnt changed.

yes and tomorrow there will be an easier way and a week from now,now that they know the way the info was read off the drive.

so basicly its a case of,this is for use on the unmoddable till now drives,so they are not flashed, theres no LT for them released yet so just wait (as many people have pointed out) as you will get banned as the current fw is not safe apparently.

so time will fly, newer easier methods will be found and eventualy the LT firmware will be released (for what drives, wait and see)

Even being able to do the new liteons you will still be nailed on xbl, so talking jump about the banhammer is kind of pointless. Since right now if you just want a modded xbox get one of the banned ones going for cheap or goto ebay or something and get a referb one. Hell I got one for 72 dollars.

I agree, only good things can come from this! (although I am sure, some would disagree)
