Great, but did i miss some information on this, i did send a couple of emails on the contact link, that was a few days ago, but nothing came back.
But anyway at least i know now...........
YEAH, i see your point, i had seen the forum, "off topic and general help" but silly me took it for granted that i could not post on that one either, agian i did not see any messages telling me i had to post on this forum first, it would be a good idea if when you register, and you recieve your activation email, there would be some sort if message telling you about this... You may find it useless and yes we do see a few members bumping older threads but for myself and im sure other mods its one heck of a useful feature.
Since i tend to give most forums a look-over and view the latest posts quite often i am able to pick out certain types of spammers before they hit that fourth post im sure others do too, Those that do slip through are normally reported by our users.. our most regular spam reporter being you Xeno
You must agree that MaxConsole has changed on the spam front, most forums were flooded daily with credit card strip spams, Pornsite adverts and sometimes even a little malware.. so much so people couldn't keep up.
You didn't miss any information on this. It was more of a suggestion although maybe it is a good one.
Most users just bump threads, maybe this should be clarified or made into a sort of etiquette a hello post in the hello thread, a useful post or something relating to the news Zeus posts. I'll see what i can do.
Yes threedog, not a bad idea, no harm in a little message directing new users to use the "hello" forum" first.
I wonder how many people have registerd, but just gave up, because they did not know about this, i myself nearly gave up, but just by chance pressed on the hello forum, on other forums it is not a requirement to use the hello forum, some people do and some don't say hello, but in this case you DO have to say something about yourself even if its just to say hello...![]()
