Is the Wii a toy?

Many developers and video game fans have branded the Wii a toy. But our question is should it be called a toy or is this unfair?

i can see it both ways. while many of the games are directed at a young audience, the console does have a few major titles, like super mario galaxy, mario kart wii, thw twilight princess, etc.

i guess it really depends on how the individual uses the wii. while many people probably use theirs as a "toy", the wii is also capable of being a major console.

If Toy has connotations of little fun/gimmicky then I would have to disagree, the Wii is a decent console IMHO, games like Zelda, SMG and Brawl are a testament to this.

Wii is not a toy, but we always think sports equals entertainment, and entertainment equals toy. And that's how it comes, I think.
