I checked homefront a few days ago and they had a good score. Wasnt many reviewers but from what i saw it had good reviews and looked great. But its longer the KZ 3 sp by almost double. But even a 7 hour sp seems weak these days because you cant bank on how many online players the game will have.
But from images i saw the game looks fun!

This game never looked any good anyways. I don't know why people had such high expectations of it.
every game has multiplayer these days, at least as far as first person shooters are concerned. So you better have the best multiplayer experience ever or you better offer an amazing single player experience to stand apart from the crowd. If you don't your game isn't going to be received well. It sounds like there are a limited amount of options in multiplayer and they are pretty much just what has been the standard for years. the multiplayer is short and people are saying it can be finished in 5 hours at least that is what ign said and the reviewer gave the game a 7 and sounded like he enjoyed parts of the game but wanted more single player gameplay and more multiplayer options. the only games it seems that can get away with short single player modes are call of duty.
Expecting a good game to come out of THQ is like expecting the queen to go naked on her holidays.
Well a 75 score isn't that bad. Everyone seems to just expect 95s these days. But always remember as well that review scores are relative to the reviewer. You may play it and love it. I've had that plenty of times before. Some of my most loved games got crappy review scores and then there's garbage like the latest CoD games that get 90s and deserve 60s and 70s. It's like the name alone nets you an extra 20 marks.
I dont see why anyone doesnt like this game. Ive been playing it a few days now and love the storyline and the single player. Its one of those games that sucks you right into the story.
Just imagine.... what would you do if an army came into this country, took it over, and you had to watch your parents, friends etc get taken off blindfolded or shot right in front of you.... what would you do? I know a lot of you would say "oh I would just kill them all" Yeah, good luck with that while your peeing your pants as a soldier is holding an AK to your head.
It seems FPS get rated by graphics these days or having cod in the name....
We all know cod fans are like crackheads.. no matter how much they complain they live for it. Cant blame them, been there done that.
But thats masses and masses amounts of online players. Thats what a good online experience needs.
A new franchise... needs a very solid 10-12 hours sp to carry the work load for mp not having a ton of players.
It sucks though we see potential new games come out and thanks to stock changes we may never see a sequel because gamers dont support good games the way they do exclusives.
What you did expect?. Game isn't so good and only 6 hours to gamaplay.

not suprised, much as i like the story, the overall presentation/gameplay is generic.
too bad, little more polish here an there (especially visually) an it would've been better.

I have this, and its an excellent shooter. But its way too short! 4-5 hours to complete max. Not worth the monies, but worth a DL disc
