my psp keeps on shuting down when playing games

with cfw, with the battery only.it's a old type 1st gen fat psp.and the battey cover will not stay on it.

how do i fix it??

If your PSP is that old then the battery has probably lost the ability to hold a charge, my psp is a 3000 series and it wont hold a charge more than an hour, as for the battery cover some strong tape will work, a psp battery is cheap these days like $20 at wall-mart
