Bollox to that im sorry but "consumer rights"? do you honestly believe that the sun gives a crap about consumer rights? there main purpose is to sell as many papers as possible and the best way to do that is to create a story and sensationalize it so much that everyone will wanna read about it, and if your the only paper carrying the news ( or website like maxconsole) then people wont have a choice but to buy the paper.
Does the Mirror? the times, guardian etc have these stories? no. Its only the sun and this stupid site continually posting the same news over and over again about eye strain and headaches, QUIT already guys. there is no defending your sites despicable behavour recently. and as i asked in a previous post, do you guys here actually have any journalistic degrees or are you just winging it, cause it certainly looks that way.
Plus this backtracking they are doing or defending they are doing is all down to Nintendo threatening a law suit on them.
In other words, they hope this will get them the attention they have been loosing over the years. This the newpsaper that givent he story "Man stubs to on paving slab" would go for "man looses leg to exploding paving slab", 0 credibility just entertainign read, nothing else.

If its not a vendetta against Nintendo 3DS, then why don't the stories mention other 3D sources? or say the 3DS reveals big flaws with 3D as a whole?
The answer is either they actually do have a vendetta, or its being sensationalist to gain readers, once a case is brought against them, they will claim its Nintendo trying to silence them, then settle out of court
either way its still the SUN, a very sensational paper always in the press for being taken to court of false/exaggerated stories

The funny thing is, readers have been commenting on "the sun" newspaper on this site ever since this 3DS bashing began, saying what type of crap they usually write and blatently make up yet maxconsole have ignored this completely, not once commented on it and continue to post stories around it. There is no excuse for it maxconsole, its a disgrace and I hope nintendo sets its sights on you next. I vaguely remember you trying to destroy kinect on its release as well. Your site is known throughout the gaming community as complete drivel yet you do nothing to help this.
Also anyone else see the story on the main page telling new subscribers that if they want to join maxconsole they must follow them on twitter???? which means people will most likely now have to set up a twitter account, never mind the inconvenience to your readers or the blatent abuse of power your using, but you blocked anyone for being allowed to comment on the story, (id assume for fear of backlash) but its all just so your site can become accredited on twitter. Nice guys, very nice.

well this is a gaming site so it would be unusual to start posting on the lybian war in all fairness, can accuse maxconsole of anything there
But if you want credible news stories that are actually fact checked, had some research done and not simply a copy and paste job from another site, newspaper or press release, then id advise going elsewhere as ive now come to the realization that this is just a fansite open to the highest bidder to get the most revenue from advertising.
Put it this way, there are no reviews for the 3DS on this site, none of its games, hardware, peripherals etc. If maxconsole genuinely had a harsh stance on the 3DS, why not bother your arses reviewing it instead of using the opinion of a tabloid? Also you can always tell if a site is credible or not from its reviews. No PR company or Software publisher will give review code to sites they dont trust, dont respect or feel arent professional enough, i know this as i have dealt with oleary PR in ireland for EA games, Cake for Nintendo, Watkins PR for Xbox, i know how they work. Id say maxconsole have tried get review code but were turned down.
So what is the update to GAME and HMV’s return policies around this issue?

I do agree with him on one aspect though.. it would be nice to contact the consumer watchdog agency.. assuming these stores refused refunds and sent a substantial amount of people out of the store they should have some good information..
Even if we did post a review we know exactly what will happen before it does happen.. nobody here is going to pay £200 for that.

You do realise that CREDIBLE sites actually get hardware and software from publishers for free to review??? its called review code, but i assume nintendo refused you a copy.
Again Threedog, we have had this conversation about fanboyism. Im not a fanboy of nintendo. I have ALL consoles in this generation and I like them all for different reasons, in fact, I think the Wii is the worst of the 3.
Threedog, not once have you commented on why you are continuing to use the sun as your source, people have asked!!! why arent you answering. I find it hilarious that an editor on this site can respond with a simple "yawn". Very professional mate. I have an opinion, and im stating it, not everyone will agree with me, thats fine, everyone is entitled to an opinion. My point is, you dont seem to have an opinion of your own, the site as you just have admitted to dont even own a 3DS, MAJOR FAIL MATE < MAJOR FAIL.
I have not seen the sun directly as I do not read gutter press (so no papers) and would normally be skeptical on the views of the sun, though to be fair their stories can't be all lies or they would not be in business . But seeing that I have seen a number of secondhand 3ds's in shops and I suffer via pilotwings motion sickness (street fighter is much better strangely) and feeling like I could be getting a migraine and the pre-orders did not all get filled and plenty in stock there does seem to be something in it. Just need a better source which we won't get as many will not complain in the UK as long as they get their money back or something else or will voice via media or internet as its more instant compared to making a complaint to which or trading standards etc.
Yeah ive seen a lot of second hand stock in game, but i do know they bought thousands from tesco and sold them second hand for a profit as tesco where selling ridiculously cheap.
Look im not defending the 3DS, and the last thing id ever say to anyone who is actually suffering from Migraines from 3D is stop complaining, Id say it sucks for them, but this is a 3D issue not a 3DS issue.
Not in my case as I own a 3DTV and have no issues at all with games and films and my kids are allowed to use that with no issues. I have now pinpointed it to pilotwings in my case as street fighter is not that bad and you recover much quicker from using it and it was pilotwings I tried in the shop when they were on demostration that made me feel slightly giddy or nauseous at the time.
