Ok, I am totally tech stupid. And this is probably not even in the right forum, but here ya go... I have a ds lite that my son got for christmas which came loaded with an R4 card. It suddenly stops working and I've googled to see how to fix it but no go. I downloaded new firmware but it's still stuck at the loading screen. So, my questions are:
1) do I have to delete everything (all the games) off of the microdisc before reloading the firmware?
2) if so, do I have to pay for those games again? I don't know if they were free downloads before since this was a gift
3) should I just say screw it and have him buy the games new?
