Hi guys, I had a question which I wasn't sure about Cygnos v2 will it work on all xbox versions? I used to have an old xbox but its got the ring of death so I have a 1 year old xbox which I hardly play but couldn't jtag it because of its mfd. It was off by a few months.The installation looks tricky but manageable.If I can install it on my newer machine it would be great.also will all my previous Homrbrew work on it such as fsd? If there is a better solution pleaded advise me.thanks

no it wont work on another machine unless exploitable.

i can fix your old xbox in the next few weeks as im getting a pro setup for reflowing and reballing xboxs.

My xboxes ismfd 2009/09/03 version 737And also I'm in Japan so if I can do it my self it would help me a great deal. Is it executable with my newer xbox ?

its down to the dashboard revision, it needs to be below 7371 for it to be exploitable.

yeah japan might be a bit far for me to fix it.

the cygnos360 v2 looks easy to install and flash,
are there even easier ways than this chip?
your advise is much appreciated, people on their own website dont even seem to want to answer my questions as u did here, so it makes me wonder about the product.

what do you recommend for someone who is doing this the first time. mind you i did chip my original xbox.

you need to get a read of the nand,then check its cb in degraded (google that) and check the cb against what cbs are exploitable for your console version.if its a exploitable cb then why not just use diodes and 3 wires?easy peasier.update via usb when required

you just need 2 diodes and 3 wires,1 is just a jumper.

attached a pic of wiring,forget the lpt wiring thats for reading the nand through lpt.

but unfortunately i have a laptop with no printer port how can i go round that?
have you heard about this x360key device which allows to to load any game from external HD? is it a safe bet? or waste of money?

the cygnos chip appealed to me because it has usb.. but if there is another better way so i can use usb then it would be great.

but,you were talking jtag not xbox360 backup play,360drive key (whatever) wont allow you to play dlc or xbla.only jtag allows that.you can use nandx as its usb for reading the nand.google nandx.

the moderator replied to my questions on the cygnos website stating

Q: What Xbox 360s will be compatible with the JTAG exploit?[All Xbox 360s that does not have the latest kernel (845X or up) updated, and have not been sent in for repair after Augest 2009.

does this mean that even tho my xbox was made mfd 2009/09/03 it should still be ok.

also another question will the cygnos be able to use freeboot? are the processes different? which do you think is best and will the NANDX work with my console?
