The site is way too narrow, no one is running 1024x768 anymore, make more use of the real estate for the love of god.

Thanks for the recommendation eric, but in times of TVs with internet, Smartphones and for sure tablet devices, its sadly still needed to respect the 1024px rule :S

TVs do at least 1280 in width.
And what about smartphones, are you saying you don't have a mobile page? Well that's just sad for "smartphone times".

EDIT: Just checked on a pretty modern phone with Android 2.3.5 and 854x480 screen...
Site is very mobile unfriendly if you ask me. Pretty slow with all these big not-optimized-for-mobile images etc.
Buuuut, I guess the old site was worse

Speaking of browsing on an Android phone, I've got a HTC Desire Z on version 2.2 (Froyo), and whilst browsing this site, I CANNOT even make a reply on a thread as firstly, the writing cursor doesn't come up, and lastly, I cannot even type even though the writing cursor isn't present, and this forum has been tested on Opera Mobile, and the native Android Browser.

Also, there are two types of invasions in the forum world: the Craputo invasion, and the Gary Phoenix invasion - I know which one I wanna get involved in (the latter of course - no offense to anyone here )

I can reply fine using my iPhone, sadly my Samsung tablet got stolen so don't have any Android browser to test at the moment. -- I going to have to hunt around for my converted pandigital e-reader into android, it is slow but works great for testing stuff.

Are you worried about your 'data freedom' rights, like Prism and NSA and want to be 'secure' online, and access what you want where you want?

Then signup now with our sponsor VPN4ALL and 'protect' yourself online, and don't forgot if you tried of searching the 'net for stuff, then grabbing an UsenetBucket account is the only way to go with unlimited downloads, fast speeds, uncensored servers, and low pay-per-month rates, and at the same time by signing-up with either of our sponsors you end up supporting our wonderful group of scene news sites that you enjoy reading daily!

Or you could just run an android emulator if you're seriously thinking about mobile support.
Doesn't this vBulletin have a mobile version of the forum integrated? It seems pretty easy to build such a thing alongside the normal forum.

The current Vbulletin vb4.1 series, has the API by them to do so, but you have to buy the mobile side from them, and then wait for the app for your forums to be approved for the android and apple marketplaces and you have to cover that cost also, something to think of in the future as our returning members return and new ones signup. -- One step at a time.

I see we have "mobile skin" installed, which might be part of the problem, I going to keep look into it. -- Hmm, android emulator on iphone or pc, learn something new everyday! -- Thanks!

I get that you have to keep mobile users into account but aren't they the minority? The majority should be considered first and the site is just too small to be easily read.

In home page, when click on "Discuss in our forums", is possible open in a windows, and not to overwrite in the save windows?. Thanks.

I am indeed talking about a certain skin.
The kind that recognizes it when you are browsing the site on a mobile device, so it can switch to a simple mobile view.
For example WordPress has a very good mobile layout, I think I've seen an even better one but I can't remember what site it was...

The new site looks nice and it's great to see Garyopa onboard. Please take Maxconsole back to the glory days and give us more hacking news and less industry rubbish that gets posted everywhere else anyway.

Maybe I'm being blind, but can't seem to find an RSS feed on the new site?
    Sh1t I'm oldschool

I don't mean in a new windows, but in a windows, near other windows. Exmpale, like in google chrome where there are many windows one near other. I don't know in english what is the exctly word to explain this.

@Xeongears I think you're referring to tabs. This is best handled by the user, use your middle mouse button or hold CTRL when you click a link. Opening a link in a new tab (target="_blank") while on the same domain is bad behaviour.
