ok, just got a slim (dont worry, i didnt pay for it) its a 160gb slim (now 500gb) with ofw 3.41 so as i have no intention of ever buying anything from sony again its safe to assume that i dont care about psn, no, its time for some payback for sony stealing my ability to play games and watch blu-rays so what i'm after is info on what is the best cfw and how i install it (and multiman), i dont have any ftp ability but if i have to go to a 3.55 cfw then i'd like to be able to roll it back if i ever want to (cant think why?) i have a 1tb external ready formatted to fat32 and a nice fast net connection so we dont need to get into the content going on the hard drive other than what i need to put there to make everything work.
i'd like to disable cineavia (or whatever its called), have access to the few video streaming services (and youtube if possible), i'd like mkv / h.364 playback like my current ps3 linux has (is there a media player?), i'd like to ensure that the ps3 cant "phone home" without messing around with my router but still have the very limited net access offered by the ps3 (i assume thats possible as it still works on my 3.15), i'd like access to my out of region ps3 games (or if required backups of them, i can do that), obviously i'd like it to spoof the current firmware version to prevent update requests and, if it can, to play new original games (well pre-owned so sony dont get a cut), i'd like to be able to backup my originals and play them without needing a disc in the drive (is that now possible?), i'd like to be able to use my accessories on it (mii2's, dumbchucks, ps eye, guitars, mics, chatpad, etc) and of course homebrew (both games and emulators).
ok, so what do i need, what can i do and how can i do it?
