    Exclamation C4EVA’s iXtreme Burner Max

Coming Soon To A Burner Near You...

You all must have heard by now about famous c4eva breaking the new Microsoft XGD3 disc format by releasing his new LT+ v2.0 Xbox 360 DVD firmware

It allows you to play those newer Xbox 360 games on original XGD3 disc to be ripped and burned onto normal DVD+R DL discs, like Gears of War 3, but like some people have noticed not all games work, making those that like to right to 'backup' their bought media very uphappy when it came to playing games like Forza 4!

The reason is most PC burners can not handle pushing that extra 1gigabyte of data onto the burned DL disc, due to factory internal error correction and auto-adjustment, the layerbreaks moves, important game data is lost, etc, etc.

But have no fear, enter the new solution to this problem by c4eva, called iXtreme Burner Max, a custom firmware designed to be flashed to a PC SATA DVD burner:

As you may or may not be aware, the new XGD3 format has a larger capacity than a standard DVD+R DL disc so it has become virtually impossible to make a 100% backup of the disc.

They said it was impossible. They said that CFW was finished. They were wrong.

C4E presents yet another world first to the Xbox scene, the iXtreme DVD Burner FW which now increases the capacity of a standard dual layer DVD+R DL to a FULL 8.7GB !

    Features:
    • 100% Customized burner firmware – never been done before !
    • Full 8.7GB 100% Backups on standard Dual Layer DVD+R DL
    • Flashable via Jungle Flasher (Upcoming Version)
    • No IMGBurn Errors
    • No CIV errors
    • Passes all current checks
    Requirements:
    • Verbatim Dual Layer DVD+R DL Compatible only at this time
    • Compatible SATA DVD Burner
Please Note: The model of the DVD Burner will be announced shortly.
There are several different versions of this model and we want to make sure that each one can be patched before we tell you to go out and buy.

We are so far supporting 4 different versions of this drive, we want to make sure we can cover as many as possible.

There are LOTS of this particular drive available and the RRP is less than $25 USD. On the bright side At least everyone will be forced to upgrade to a decent burner now

Testing is fully underway. The current LT+ 2.0 requires no update (except Samung which will require a small change).

As an example we bought the troublesome Forza4 (doesn’t work with previous burning method – failed various checks), ripped to a backup using 0800 v3 and burned using the new iXtreme Burner Max and have been playing with it on XBL for several hours with the same LT+ 2.0 that was released last week.

Coming very soon to a burner near you!

    Very nice.

Burner brand is unknow yet. Only Verbatim blank disk and only a brand burner ins't a good thing.

I imagine there will be a rush to buy this type of burner. Soon sold out.

I hope c4eva explain like add 8.7Gb support into original firmware. In this way, no need to buy a new burner, but simply flashing ofw modded.

I saw this on eurasia earlier today. I think it's awesome that c4e can do this! Wouldn't it be great if the same principle could apply to an sd card, or a hdd? maybe he will release the source sooner or later, and things like this can be done!

already possible to increase HDD size by making the error correction partition visable, although this makes the hard drive very unstable.
not possible with SD and other flash media.
its basically just an overburn, i do it with CD's and DVD's all the time, although overburn too much and the disc is kaput.

Source code is a right thing, to extend overburn on other burners.

so read errors relating to forza4 were burner related and the media perhaps more than new checks by the sounds of it.

reminds me a little of the first pioneer thingy that went on with hitachi drives when the 360 was first hacked.

at least some people will be breathing a bit easier if they have read this as they might be thinking to wait for a new lt2 update to fix checks for forza.

and like billysastard says,i just hope it works with a drive i got here.

i will put a tenner on pioneer being one of the drives, liteon and samsung (yes i know its cos they do cfw 360 drives already)

well mine are pioneer (dvd +/-/ram), toshiba (hd-dvd-r) and lg (bdr) so i'm probably going to be looking for another drive (which will skyrocket in price once its known so these guys are probably buying up stocks as we speak for later resale)

I remember it..Problem isn't buy a new burner...now they cost around 25$. Problem is find the right burner. When name will be released, it will be sold out in a moment.

Maybe you are lucky. Thinking to old pioneer method, maybe c4eva, working on that brand.

It won't trouble me much to have to buy another burner, it's only $25. I already have a Liteon DVD +-R DL (external), a Plextor BD-R DL BluRay burner (external) and whatever type of DVD +-R DL burner is installed in my Alienware m9750 laptop. I'll just add the new burner to the external stack i have already

of course I may be lucky and the new Liteon i purchased and put into an external case may be compatible with c4e's firmware, then i won't have to add to the stack
