'Battlefield 3' blows up sales records at EA

The first-person shooter, released Oct. 25, drew pre-sales of close to three million.



Battlefield 3 has sold five million units in its first week globally, making it the fastest-selling video game in Electronic Arts' history.

"From Tokyo to Los Angeles, Sydney to London, millions of fans have been playing all weekend long - we are overwhelmed by the global response to Battlefield 3," Patrick Soderlund, executive vice-president of the EA Games Label, said in a statement Monday.

In other news, EA stated they are at 90% in fixing the 'server' stable issues, and for invalid codes, just keep on returning it until it works!

And Mass Effect 3 will probably break Battlefield 3's sales record. Only time will tell.

Great game, but I am waiting for MW3...it is a great challange between those who sell more.
