Kindom Rush a well known Flashgame got cloned on appstore and Apple don't seem to care!
Several attempts to contact the appstore to report that this game is a total clone has also failed!
It seems Apple normally tight ship is getting more and more loose over the years, maybe they need to spend some of that billions they have been banking and hire some more employees to be able to answer this complaints and get back to policing the 'appstore' better! The story is as simple as this,Ironheart Studios have a PC game called Kingdom Rush that is very popular. so they have started creating an iOS version of the game but someone beat them to it and released a game called Kingdom Rush TD which is currently available on the appstore for $2.99
It’s a blatant copy and you would suspect that Apple would quickly remove it once this was pointed out, unfortunately that’s not been the case with the cloned title still sitting pretty in the AppStore 18 days after Apple was notified of the clone.
The Indie company followed the correct procedure by logging the issue with Apple and then when nothing happened they instituted a DMCA.com takedown service, contacted the developers continued to pester Apple with copyright infringement notices and still nothing appears to be happening.
So now they are going along the public humiliation route. Apple what you are doing is morally reprehensible. This is not a complicated case, just take down the clone. Return all the money it made to the IP owner and ban Yayi from publishing another title for 12 months.
