PlayStation Gets The Blues, Branding Changes Color

Turning Blue... Sony has decided to switch from the PS3 'red on black' look to a new 'white on blue'



Recently PlayStation trailers have all opened with a blue PlayStation logo, rather than the red XMB wave of before. Now it has been revealed that the whole of PlayStation will have a change in color!

Sony has decided to go back to their roots from the early days of PS2, when they used more lighter colors, no more 'DARK' theme for the PS3 branding, it all switched over to from red and black to white and blue.

Currently, just the TV 'trailers' and 'websites' have changed over, but in the coming weeks you see also the 'online' parts changing, James Gallagher, Blog Manager for SCEE recently stated the following on why Sony is revamping their look:

It's not directly PS Vita related, more of a change in branding direction for the company as a whole. These colours are going to be synonymous with PlayStation going forward.

i'll post before retroboy dives in to tell us all how blue is the best colour ever and how his darling sony has chosen blue to be its colour again because once again their amazing consoles are flying high in the sky (rather than in fact being dead last)


that said, i do think blue is a suitable colour for sony to use because i tend to turn the air that colour when some idiot tries to tell me what a great company they are.
