Exclamation Ghost Camera new trailer shows 3DS AR capabilities

    A Fatal Frame spin-off for 3DS.

From Fatal Frame developers,Tecmo, here it comes a horror Augmented Reality game!

If you have played a Fatal Frame game, you know the series are really scary. Now, here it comes a new spin-off from Tecmo-Koei, which shows a new way to use the 3DS AR capabilities.

On this game, the 3DS will act as a camera, and you will be able to see and capture ghosts through Augmented Reality. It really looks like a neat concept.

Previously known as Spirit Camera, the game is scheduled to be released next month in Japan.

That looks interesting, I wonder what kind of AR games we will see in the future.

The imagination is really the only limit with that kind of interaction.

You know something that might be kind of cool, old fogies might remember a show called Captain Power. Now lets see if I can remember it correctly... lol

In Captain Power you had a sort of video game system with a light gun and when the show came on or you played the VCR tape you could shoot the bad guys.

Maybe Nintendo or some third party could revive the concept only with AR based games, the limited processing back in the day made Captain Power super cheesy but these days you could really do some wild stuff. The Vita and the 3DS could both do it so you could even have the same show work for both machines.

Edit: Well I was sort of close with my description lol

we now know the Xbox One's game licensing policy was written from the ground up for companies. It's aggressively anti-consumer and anti-middle class, and it outright ignores underprivileged gamers. It's gross, despicable, greedy, pathetic, cowardly and out of touch with a growing global resentment for corporations. - Polygon 7th June 2013

i am getting more and more tepted to pick up a 3DS as the months go by, I probably won't but you never know if more games liek this that are more for the adult market become more widespread I may well bite the bullet and get one. The only thing still putting me off is the way the 3D is done gives me a headache.
    My gaming systems -
    Consoles - Wii, Xbox 360 Elite, Xbox 360 Jtag Jasper 2TB 3.5" HDD, PS3 60GB UK launch version, PS3 hacked with 500GB 3.5" HDD (2TB wouldn't work ).

My new Next Gen Console - i7 4770k@4.7GHZ + H100i, ASRock Z87E-ITX, Gigabyte Radeon HD7970 GHZ Edition, 16GB Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 1866@2400, Crucial m4 256GB mSATA SSD, 1GB WD Caviar Black, 64GB OCZ Agility 3 SRT cache. All in a red Bitfenix Prodigy.
