Exclamation Two steps you should follow patching Skyrim to 1.4 version

    For Playstation 3 users

If you want to patch Skyrim to 1.4 version, and you use Playstation 3 to play it, you should read this.

Bethesda has listed two steps all Ps3 users should follow patching Skyrim to 1.4 version, if you follow this steps you shouldn't have any problem with the game:

“The 1.4 patch for Skyrim includes many performance-enhancing updates for the PlayStation 3. A few important things to note:

    1. To ensure the fastest jump in performance after applying the patch, be sure to first create a new manual save by entering the save menu and choosing “save game.” You should then restart your PlayStation 3 before continuing to play.

    2. If you encounter strange behaviour while playing immediately following application of the patch, do not be alarmed – this is a temporary effect of Skyrim scripts correcting themselves after the update. Once this process runs its course, be sure to make a new save and restart your PlayStation 3.”
If you still have any problem patching the game, don't hesitate to write it on the Bethesda official forums.

wouldnt it be nice if just for once beta shed could ship a game that actually worked in the first place since all those people around the world with no access to psn wont be able to fix this broken mess.

note: i'm not talking about pirates, i'm talking about ps3 owners who may well have bought this long lasting, single player bugfest for the exact fact that they were offline / unable to access psn.

Or the 50% of the population who are still on slow DSL or Dial up, I am not sure how large these patches are but on dial up anything over 10MB's is painful.

Edit: I was reading up more on the subject, and I found out that you cannot download the patches to a USB thumb drive so if you are on dial up you have to get on PSN to patch the game lol
