Exclamation Shaun The Sheep episodes coming to 3DS

At least 15 brand new episodes will debut on the Nintendo's handheld in full 3D

The episodes will be published via Nintendo Video starting on March 7th.

Animation lovers and kids all around the world, we have very good news here for you. It appears that "Shaun The Sheep" TV series will reach Nintendo 3DS very soon, offering 15 exclusive episodes in full stereoscopic 3D via StreetPass.

The first one is expected to be released on March 7th. We don't now if they will be paid content or not.

    From MCVUK we can read:

Wallace and Gromit creators Aardaman has developed exclusive episodes of Shaun the Sheep for Nintendo 3DS.

One of 15 clips will be made available to view via Nintendo Video, with the first one going live from March 7th. The content is in full 3D and can be downloaded via an StreetPass.

The project was first announced before 3DS reached shelves last year.

"We are proud to be working with Aardman Animations to launch Shaun the Sheep's first 3D adventures via SpotPass on Nintendo 3DS. Make sure you keep checking Nintendo Video on your Nintendo 3DS for regularly updated content for you to enjoy," said Nintendo Europe’s MD of marketing and PR Laurent Fischer.

Aardman’s co-founder and chairman David Sproxton added: “As a company we are always looking ahead to the next ‘big thing’, the technological advances that will improve our audience’s experience. We are already working with 3D formats as a studio on our upcoming feature film, but when we first experienced the Nintendo 3DS it’s safe to say all of us were completely blown away. To be contributing to something as innovative as the Nintendo 3DS from the very outset is an extraordinary experience for us and we’re looking forward to seeing Shaun the Sheep on Nintendo 3DS and working with Nintendo going forwards.”

Nintendo Video features new content – be it comedy, music videos, animation or action – to 3DS every week. However, the content is only available for a limited time.

A tv show aimed at the 6 and unders who should not use the 3D according too recommendations, not a clever move. Video in 3d looks unconvincing on 3DS so leave it for games.

and yet it has 2+ million followers on facebook (over 13's only) and looking at their forums it would seem to be a mix of kids and adults so maybe these videos are for adults to watch in 3d (if they want) and for kids to watch in 2d.
