Exclamation Top secret iPad accessory revealed: Pressure sensitive stylus

It is called Blue Tiger Stylus

The new accessory is capable of detecting pressure variations and works over Bluetooth 4.0.

TenOne Design has revealed what they are preparing for the iPad, it is a stylus with pressure sensor that works over Bluetooth 4.0 technology. It allows you to touch and point more precisely than you do with your fingers. The name: Blue Tiger.

They have prepared a website and a video to show the technology working. Check below.

Here is the full press release:

Ten One Design Declassifies Top Secret Accessory for Next Generation iPad – the World’s First Pressure-Sensitive Bluetooth 4.0 Stylus

Blue Tiger stylus supports ultra-fast Bluetooth 4.0 technology and features full pressure sensitivity

Ten One Design, creators of the Pogo Stylus and Pogo Sketch for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, is proud to unveil its Blue Tiger Stylus – the world’s first pressure-sensitive Bluetooth 4.0 stylus for iPad. Harnessing Bluetooth 4.0 technology, fully supported by the CoreBluetooth framework in iOS5, this stylus pairs directly with the iPad and features full pressure sensitivity, palm rejection capabilities and more.

“This accessory will change the way people can interact with their iPads,” said Peter Skinner, Ten One Design, Founder. “For instance, when using Blue Tiger in a drawing application, the user can control stroke thickness, the color of which is displayed on the multi-colored LED button.”

Cooool, that is a HUGE selling point for me, I like to draw, and with a proper drawing application this will be amazing!

I've been always hoping some company would release a tablet with a stylus, the nearest thing was the Galaxy Note and also the recently announced Galaxy Note 10.1

The issue with the ipad stylus, is the tip of the pen, it is just huge and doesn't seem to be as accurate as the S-pen in Galaxy notes.

    Thats a big issue! :/

surely unless apple had added a real time digitiser to their ipad screen then its always going to be inaccurate, thats just a fact of life for capacitive screens, you'd need a resistive screen if you want drawing accuracy other wise.

we now know the Xbox One's game licensing policy was written from the ground up for companies. It's aggressively anti-consumer and anti-middle class, and it outright ignores underprivileged gamers. It's gross, despicable, greedy, pathetic, cowardly and out of touch with a growing global resentment for corporations. - Polygon 7th June 2013

Check out the Galaxy Note S-Pen, it is a capacitive screen, yet very accurate!

will do, next time i'm near a local town i'll try to check it out.

EDIT: just read up online, the s-pen uses a wacom digitiser so as i said its using a capacitive screen with a real time digitiser to give it the accuracy that a capacitive screen simply cant provide without one. (its like using a jopad with kinect rather than kinect alone)
