    Exclamation New iPad is 10 degrees hotter than its predecessor

    A Netherlander website confirms it



    Previous reports of the new iPad getting warmer than the iPad 2 are true and now it is scientifically proved.

    More power equals more heat.

    And that simple statement above is true as the increase in CPU/Graphics horsepower in the new iPad has also increased the overall maximum heat output over its predecessor.

    Netherlander website 'tweakers.net' have conducted a survey using an infrared thermal camera to know exactly how much the new iPad warms up and found out that after 5 minutes of GLBenchmark testing, the new iPad was at 33.6 degrees centigrade (92.5 Fahrenheit), compared to 28.3 centigrade (82.9 Fahrenheit) of the iPad 2.

    At least this increment doesn't clause the device to burst into flames, (not yet), so for now you can put back your fire extinguishers, just don't fall alsleep in bed browsing on your new iPad!!!

    Well on the bright side for apple, they can safely advertise it as "too hot to handle" without fear of getting blamed for false advertising.
