RUMOR: Windows 8 Release Candidate build coming in May-June

Final version to be released in October



Unnamed sources claims that the RC version of Windows 8 will be available to download from May or early June

With the recent release of the Windows 8 consumer preview, we have new info about when the release candidate of this new OS will come to us. A Release Candidate is a version very similar to the final product but not exactly the same. Anyway, it is certainly a much closer approximation than the consumer preview builds.

WinUnleaked website is claming, that they have known from unnamed sources that the RC for Windows 8 will be released by Microsoft sometime around May and June.

We know the Release Candidate of Windows 8 will be shared with the public between the end of May to the beginning of June,

The Release Candidate is still labeled HB1 in the ISO tag, this mean actual builds are only « Post-BETA ».

From the UI side, some light changement for the Charm bar, Language input menu, Internet Explorer 10 (Desktop version), a bunch of color set, ect…

Another report claims that the final version is expected to be released in October.

Only time (or Microsoft) would tell.

They really need to start calling this what it actually is.

Well lets recap the Windows Series and you will see why.

-1 Windows 2.0 - A Waste of Money (I infact bought it!)
+1 Windows 3.1 - It well worked, and was useful
-1 Windows '95 - Fancy DOS, nothing more then a pile of floppys
+1 Windows 'NT - Devil to install, but what '95 should had been
-1 Windows '98 - Fancy but buggy as hell, outdated drivers, etc.
+1 Windows '2000 - Full support, companies move forward or use '98SE
-1 Windows 'ME - Opps, kiss your personal data goodbye!
+1 Windows 'XP - Yippie, the next-generation is born
-1 Windows 'Vista - Opps, back to pile of hard drive space.
+1 Windows '7 - Devil to upgrade, but what 'Vista should had been
-1 Windows '8 - Opps, does anyone remember 'Microsoft Bob'????

It seems in the history of Windows, you need to skip the next release.
