    Keep up the good work...

AID is the best tool for quickly setting up an xbox1. Very nice.

    Thanks for all the effort!

    Slayer's vs AID?
This is no contest. No direspect to Slayer (I originally used it as my first tool) but Slayer's is the Yugo, and AID is the Ferrari. Both will get you where you want to go, but the Ferrari will get you there much faster.

Just an update guys, I will be releasing AID 4.0 hopefully next month sometime (April '07).

Just like usual, it will have all the up-to-date apps and emulators, and also something else which I'll keep quiet for now hehe.

Slayers was great a few years ago but AID is now the daddy.

Cant wait for v4 as have tried many TECH and CVS builds of XMBC to get better vista support but most have been glitchy.

Can anyone recommend a decent build ( current one has blue ghosting on xvid playback )

Cant wait for AID 4, have always found them to be well packed and stable releases

    Thanks for the kind words.

At the moment I'm using 2004-04-08 build from T3CH, I might use the next weeks build but I'm not sure. If you can test this build if you haven't already and let me know if its any better with your Vista support it would be nice, since I'm still running XP here.

AID 4 is just around the corner, everything is coming to final status now. Just waiting on a few small things to copmlete the package off and it will all be done.

Will do , I think I have the same version you have at the moment as was only last week I updated from that included in AID 3.1.

I have 2 xboxs onefor the living room and one in the bedroom, I only updated the bedroom one to see if the vista smb sharing was fixed.

Glad it has but found the blue ghosting, delayed pausing and screen aspect change quite bad.

Also of note, RSS and IMDB Lookups also not working for me, will leave it on until the new build arrives.

Guess I have been spoilt by the last AID 3.10 as was like using a retail app.

I am very, very new to the Xbox scene. I just now softmodded my xbox literally 5 minutes ago. While I have never used Slayers, I got to say I love AID. I was having trouble finding up to date emu's. Not any more. AID had all the ones I want, plus it had multiply dashboards that I could install as apps, just to check it out. It is a very well made utility, and I have to love the makers for helping me and many more people out with it.

This isn't going directly to anyone, but i need an AID disk so i can fix my x box from my newbie grasp, I couldn't get on XBL when i got mods and i screwed up my entire x box trying to get it off. If you have an aid disk you don't use/ want anymore, I'm willing to p@y.( or you can make another one) Just PM me here or email me at mrbrandman@cox.net with the subject titled, "i can help". I can also accept the files in a message ready to be dragged and dropped into a CD or DVD

Thank You, i only need this last bit of help and then I'm done with the newbie help questions.

    Slayers & Aid

I have downloaded them both in the last couple of days,

AID repaired my XBOX ( with my mod chip on i was only getting the usual microsoft dash, and i couldnt access my apps, emulators, etc. so i used the AID disc & and then selected the XBMC dash , and now its sorted

SLAYERS repaired my XBOX ( red light flashing with the mod chip off, i used the hdd lock & and now the light isnt flashing anymore ) and i get no more errors

    both are well worth getting

    Aid

I've been having a heck of a time trying to get my xobox to boot properly... it only boot off of the AID disk, but just hangs without it... does anyone have an opinion about using Slayer instead?
