Thundercats coming to Nintendo DS

Thundercats for NDS was revealed in the Namco Bandai’s Global Gamers Day’s press conference.

Thundercats are coming back, they will arrive to Nintendo DS and will contain levels from the cartoon series which dominated televisions from 1985 to 1989.

According to Siliconera:

"Thundercats picks up at the very beginning of the story with the Lizard army advancing on Thundera. King Claudus, Grune, and Tygra have all gone off to fight, leaving Lion-O behind. Just when it seems like the forces of good are about to prevail, Grune defects. Lion-O, armed with the Sword of Omens, runs into battle and that’s when I began to kick lizard tail."

The game will arrive in December.

so this is based on the old thundercats not the new darker re-imagining then?

I think this one is based on the new series.
