Wii U rumors: A new Metroid using UE3, VoD services and... Android OS?

A new batch of Wii U rumors!



French site Nintendotown has posted a series of Wii U rumors. Some of them are very plausible!

French site Nintendotown has posted a series of new "Wii U rumors".

* The first one says that a new Metroid is in the works for the console and is being built using Unreal Engine 3. Apparently, a tech demo was shown in cooperation with Nintendo’s Retro Studios.

* The other one was also posted on Adweek, and it says Nintendo is in talks with various partners regarding video on demand services.

Wii owners can already watch Netflix offerings on the console, but this rumor implies a built-in application on the console’s dashboard similar to Xbox 360 and PS3. Like the aforementioned rumor, this one is definitely plausible considering Nintendo has been hinting around at such content. Still, the firm has been a bit evasive so expect to hear more about the UI and apps at E3.

* And finally, there is another saying that Nintendo has integrated Android OS on Wii U (apparently, it could go on the tablet controller). This one sounds a lot unlikely, however, anything could happen!

There you go! Expect official news about the Wii U at the upcoming E3, which is getting closer and closer!

as i (and you) said, no one cares about about a game using the unreal engine, the news here (if true) is that metroid is going to use it.

Sounds great to me. Nintendo should run a custom Android on all its devices, and Sony should run Android on its next PSP.
