Exclamation 11 Year-Old Boy urinates on $36,000 worth of MacBooks!

    At a Pennsylvanian school...

Yes, you read it right... an 11-year-old boy urinated on several MacBook computers on a cart in the Upper Allen Elementary School, 'damaging them beyond repair'...

This is surely a pretty funny one. An obnoxious 11-year-old boy ended up costing a Pennsylvanian school district $36,000 USD, to replace a cart full of thoroughly soaked MacBooks!

    Here's what PennLive reported:

An 11-year-old boy urinated on several MacBook computers on a cart in the Upper Allen Elementary School Wednesday, damaging them beyond repair, according to Upper Allen Twp. police.

The loss came to more than $36,000, police said.

Police charged the boy with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief and are turning him over to the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.
Apparently, this was considered as a full loss because Apple won’t service the MacBooks.

We can all surmise that urinating upon your Mac will not be covered by your AppleCare.

Once urine is on a MacBook — whether animal or human — Apple considers it a biohazard. The more you know, huh?
Well played? I guess it depends if you are a Windows or Mac OS fan!

Lesson of the day... don't buy Mac.

How can you damage a Mac by pissing on it especially if its not plugged into the power?
Dry them out.... hang up an air freshener.

Secondly... how much did this kid piss? 10 litres? How much urine can a 11 yr old kid produce. Unless the whole class joined in.... I don't see how this could possibly be true.

Me thinks there is some bullshit in this story.

the story was true, it had multiple sources.

the question of course is how was an 11 year old boy allowed to be unsupervised in a room with 35k worth of macbooks?

So how were these Mac actually damage?

Were they unable to boot and work?

Or did they just have piss on them... hence making them "damaged" but still usable?

i suspect they just had piss on them but no way could the school allow kids near them and apple wouldnt touch / fix them so they would have to be written off.

if you read the comments in the original news source, you find these two that explain how one kid was able to wreck so much damage with a single nice load of pee!

The computer cart opens up and there are two levels on the inside which hold usually around 15-17 computers each. They area ll packed tightly in there so if he really had to go he could have nailed a lot at once.

They were not monitoring the hallways, watching out for the occasional student who might be on the way to the bathroom, nurse's office, etc.

    OH COMMON!!!

Its just piss.... piss from a 11 yr pre-pubecent kid.... No disease or nasty pheromones or protein stains (lol)

Get some Lysol ... wipe them off... problem solved.

I can't understand why people make such a big deal of something that can be fixed with a $5 solution.

Or maybe its the childish attitudes of adults who won't use perfectly fine computers because at one point in time there was single spec of piss on them. Their heads start hurting from the psychological trauma of having to use once soiled equipment. Then they get hissy fits and start using big words like "BIO-HAZARD" which activates the moron part of any iSheep's and helicopter parent's brain.

If all people had this sort of attitude... we would through out our soiled underwear instead of washing it.

Why does a school buy overpriced Apple computers? A PC would get the job done with less cost
