Exclamation Apple will use Liquidmetal in future 'Breakthrough Product'

    According to its creator

The recently bough Liquidmetal technology will allow Apple to use it on future products.

Liquidmetal is the trade name for a new class of metallic alloys that have unique atomic structure, more like glass, and are commonly known as “bulk metallic glasses” or “bulk amorphous alloys." Apple has purchased, time ago, the company in charge of these and is intended to use in future products.

In a recent interview with Business Wire, the creator of the tech has revealed interesting info about the use that Apple is going to do with Liquidmetal. Here is the relevant extract:

I expect Apple to use this technology in a breakthrough product [bringing] an innovative user interface and industrial design together, [which would be] difficult to copy or duplicate with other material technologies.
One thing is clear, Liquidmetal is not going to be used in current or near-future Macbooks, iMacs or whatever due to the cost but used in a new product (iPhone 5 maybe?) and then, it could be used in other Apple products.

Here we go... the end of the world is coming. It's not long until the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, comes to fruition.
