Tomb Raider reboot delayed into 2013

From fall 2012 to Q1 2013



Crystal Dynamics has announced that the awaited Tomb Raider has been delayed.

Bad news for all the Lara Croft fans out there, the Tomb Raider reboot has been delayed until Q1 2013 (alongside other big titles like Bioshock Infinite).

According to Crystal Dynamics:

"Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game The delay will boost quality up to a level that you deserve. Tomb Raider will be the best game of our careers."

So guys, you have to wait a bit more to play the new Tomb Raider.

I lost count on the number of reboots to this series, mind you they have all been tedious since number 3. 1 was good as it was Prince of Persia in 3D and somtyhing new to mainstream 3D gaming, 2 refined it, 3 it started to get old and then it got a reboot with every version and a promise of being like 1 and 2 in terms of being worth playing, tho since then we have had plenty of better games int he genre that make Tomb Raider dated. Witht he likes off Assasins creed, Prince of persia, Uncharted (well 2 and 3 tho mainly 2) etc Tombraider has to bring somthing unique to the table not cling to past glories whn it was aone horse race, but I don't expect this one will just as the past reboots didn't. I live in hope but I expect nothing even with another year of development time.

there really has to be something funny going on now with both south park and devils third adding to the list of big games getting put back to 2013.

is nintendo using some of its warchest to buy timed exclusives? or is another console launching early(ish) 2013?

I don't know about you guys but I thought Tomb Raider Underworld was a good game IMO. I think it is the only other good TR game since the first one.
