QA tester leaks redesigned Wii U tablet with analog sticks?

Looks like a QA tester at Traveller’s Tales tweeted an image of a Wii U tablet that appears to have undergone a redesign...

Seems that, a QA tester at Traveller’s Tales Games, has tweeted a picture of the Wii U Tablet, which appears to have undergone a redesign because it looks different than the version shown at last year E3.

Most importantly, the circle pads have been replaced with Wii-style analog sticks. Also:

The Wii U logo has been moved to the bottom left-hand side of the unit, while the plus and minus buttons have been moved to the right. Two mysterious button-ish indentations exist below the d-pad and between the power button and battery life indicator; their function, if any, remains unclear.

Well, this is still a rumor, as no one knows if that image is indeed a revised version of the Wii U controller, or one specific to developers (however, that is a bit unlikely?).

Thumbsticks a little ass-backwards much? Doesn't matter if you might hold the controller that high, who is use to moving their thumbs DOWN for the other buttons?

I'm so glad they added analog sticks instead of pads.
The one on the 3DS is impressive but gets annoying sometimes because you can't tell what direction you have it pushed towards in mid-gameplay.
Even better that they don't have those octagon ridges, I never liked those.

I'm loving the other adjustments aswell like the start/select buttons, looks alot easier to use now. (Too bad they're sticking with the Wii U name still)

I reckon 3rd party devs must have wanted it to be more similar to the 360/PS3 for better compatibility with ports.

Not a big fan of the stick and buton layout on the right unless the controller is small, I guess Nintendo wanted to have somthing that looked different to the Xbox and PS controllers.

think pushing this as its primary controller is sh1t, one its way too big and 3, id love to see a 5 year old manage to reach the buttons.

ohh lets not forget the motion controlls that sony got slated for trying which i admit sucked balls, playing games with this sometimes made it harder than it needed to be.

but cant really see a difference in the pad other than the buttons moving, i dont get what the title means with analogue sticks?? when the first images showed 2 of them.

Think theres only a couple of control pads a 5 year old will be able to use. Try giving them a Xbox controller or the old Xbox controller, and see if they can use it. But give them a ipad and they can work it with ease. Im liking the new design, the better analog sticks other than the 3DS sliders are a must. I hate the sliders, just dont feel right. Having owned a Wii and having an Xbox at the moment, i really looking forward to what this controller can do. Just hope Nintendo are true to their word and your able to play your games on the controller as well as on your tv.

i love how im a sony fanboy for not liking nintendo, yet i own all 3 systems, out of the 3 only one i dont touch and you dont like the reason why, you dont accept the fact the GC had the same problem which cost nintendo to sell its game studio rare, you dont like the fact i find the wii exactly the same, you cant even accept the fact that nintnedo made claims of holding back on great games for the 3ds to which we are still waiting to see.

strangely i kind of agree with you, that's why i started just deleting his posts then i dont need to bother replying to him, and the reason? well i cant stand sony for all the anti consumer crap they have pulled and if corporate marriage is ever legalized he'd be at the head of the queue to marry them.

Here we go again haha. Guys guys cool it!! Think ive had about every Sony console apart from the playstation 3 and vita and thats because they're way too pricey. Ive got an Xbox 360 and 3ds, but to tell you the truth i havent seen any games that are worth getting at the moment on any console. Im forced to play COD over and over again. Thats why i think the Wii U will be a big welcome (if the pad is used right).
