Sony wants to interrupt your gaming with ads

Sony wants to include advertisements while you're playing a game.

From my point of view, Sony is doing really bad...

Thanks to a NeoGAF user, we know that Sony has patented an application to interrupt your game playing with commercials.

The patent is called "Advertisement Scheme for use with interactive content" and it was filed in July 2011.

This new advertisement scheme wants to suspend our gaming, then display an advertisement and then resume our gaming... what do you think about it??

As you can see in the picture above, and the link below, while you're playing the game will be stopped, then you'll get an ad like "BEST BRAND SODA. You've got to try it!" and then the game will be resumed again, just like TV ads...

Personally, I can't believe it, and you?

I thought the ads in xbox dashboard were bad... now they want to stop gameplay to show me ads... what ever good luck sony on your upcoming epic fail!

There's a reason why I rather spend $4.00 to play ad-free games. Ads while loading, while in menus, during game play, etc, etc, etc are a cancer on gaming. Besides, do you really think sony would give game for free? They would have to be unplayable due to the amount of ads for them to consider that. I will say, that if the ads are in a game city, where their addition adds to the games reality, or at least doesn't hinder me, then fine. It's not like I have a problem if a billboard says "Coca-Cola" instead of "Crappy Cola".
