Leaked PS4 Spec Sheet Shows An Incredibly Powerful Machine

The so-called leaked photo, has an amazing list of features that make it sound like the PS4 will be a very powerful machine, but its almost too unreal, maybe for the PS6 it might end up being true!

A Spec sheet for the PS4 has been leaked, according to it, the PS4 should be a pretty powerful console.



"RUMORED" PS4 specs are:

- Project Codename: Orbis
- Release: Q4 2013

1- CPU: New Cell processor, 22nm tech @3.2GHz, 16PPEs and 128 SPEs.
2- GPU: 22nm Custom Nvidia GPU based on GK104 X2 Kepler (Dual GPUs?)
3- RAM: 10GB XDR2 + 10GB GDDR6
4- HDD: 250/320GB
5- OS: Sony Aether GUI.
6- Max Video O/P: 2160p for 2D - 1080p for 3D stereoscopic - All games running and Minimum 30FPS.
7- Audio channels: 11.1 (All games must support 5.1)
8- Supported formats: PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, BlueRay, DVD, CD.
9- Controller I/P: DualShock 4, DS 3, "Playstation Iris, PSVita, Playstation Omni.
10- Connectivity: USB 3.0, HDMI 1.4, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, DLNA, Ethernet, PSVita memorycards.

If only this was true, it would turn out that the PS4 would be a really powerful super-machine!

But 99% it is fake, as there is no way that a system would be released with a total of 20gb of RAM.

Yeah its some ones crack pipe dream thats for sure...

Even if the specs where real you would be talking about a multi thousand dollar machine just in RAM alone (XDR is expensive thats one reason why the PS3 only has 256MB's of it.)

These are either made up by someone or sony are going to make some massive cutbacks before launch (like the ps3).

definitely not real. If you read the blurb that's in the top right hand corner of the specs sheet, you can tell that the wording is completely off. Sony will never use words like "epitomize" and "...conquer and please..." this is just another pipe dream

Aye could be true if the going price was about £2000.

I reckon the real specs will be closer to

3.2 GHZ Quad X86 based CPU (tho likley one that has been reduced in some way so isn't quite like a full desktop one to save costs).
Mid range GPU, somthing like at best a Radeon 6870 tho more likley a 6770
2GB of ram, maybe 3GB at a stretch
320GB HDD
8-10X BD Drive
7.1 Audio, tho 5.1 standard

If nothing elese then the full backward compatibility claims is what gives it away.
Sonys new bussiness model is to make the machines NOT compatible in the hope to resell the same oold games recomiled to the same buyer, alas.

Though *IF* they DO suport ALL old formats (PS 1,2, AND 3) then THAT would be the only thing making me reconsider and buy a new Sony console... to bad it wont happen

Hi, of course it's in Sony's best interest to make this as backwards compatible as possible. Sony will make a fortune selling PS1, PS2 and PS3 games via digital distribution on the PSN store, people don't want lots of hardware anymore, a single device that can download digital media from an online store that they can all play on there living room TV is becoming the norm for movies and catchup TV, companies such as Netflix and Lovefilm, Amazon streaming and now SKY are on the up because of exactly this.

Also I don't think 20GB of memory is that outrageous a claim, 10GB XDR2 perhaps, maybe 4GB?, but 10GB of RAM for the proposed 10 year life cycle sounds quite feasible.
