First female protagonist debuting in Assassin's Creed III tie-in
Apparently, Assassin’s Creed III for Vita will be different from the console/PC counterparts. It will be set in New Orleans and will star a female assassin.
We previously informed you, that Assassin's Creed III for the PlayStation Vita was already spotted on a retailer listing.
Well now, according to the latest issue of Game Informer, this one will be called Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and it won't be the same as the Console and PC games, as it will be the first iteration to feature a female assassin in the lead role.
It will also include some "Vita exclusive features":Set around the mid-to-late 18th century, Liberation stars Aveline, a mixed heritage assassin whose travels will take her from New Orleans to Mexico. Developed by Ubisoft Sofia (Prince of Persia Trilogy HD), the game will reportedly feature "true Assassin's Creed gameplay," with a focus on large gameplay areas free of loading screens.
The game’s multiplayer is said to be “tailored to the Vita experience.”
Vita-specific controls include use of the front and rear touch panels to pick pocket others. New weapons include a sugarcane machete, pistols, muskets, and grenades.
The game will be launched on October 30, this year (the same day as its Consoles/PC cousins).
Expect more details on Monday, at the Ubisoft E3 press conference.
