if your given multi touch theres loads devs can do in the game.
examples.
like with iphones/ipads/other smart phones and vita, you can pinch the screen to zoom in or out (kinda ideal for say sniper games)
like on the vita, i know rayman origins, at some points in the game the screen looks too small and you can pinch to zoom in.
you could then also make games which you could grab things insted of tapping them, you could stretch or sqeeze it.
with mutli touch youd have the option to press two places on the screen at the same time, for example swipe, or press to throw a grenade while also swiping or pressing to reload at the same time.
its pointless nintendo adding touch screen and saying its going to be innovation for controlls, yet dont offer a screen that can make use of innovating controlls, chaning the way you play the game.
instead youve bassically got a DS touch screen in your controller that can only be used to tap or swipe on thing at a time.
But in the heat of battle you are not going to wonder away from an analog stick to go pinch a screen to zoom in on a sniper scope when you have a perfectly good analog stick in hand ready, all those features sound great on a portable device, but even then when the novelty has worn of no developer implements it, you wait and see what happens with the PSP vita games, they will all be slide stick based games with touch screen as a side novelty feature for in menu selection.
