Exclamation EA an Activision 'holding fire' on Wii U announcements

However, they'll both support the system.

According to EA, new Wii U projects will be revealed in the summer. Also, Activision says they will support the console.

Worried about the lack of EA/Activision games on the upcoming Wii U console? You shouldn't.

According to Electronic Arts' Frank Gibeau, they are preparing to announce at least two other Wii U projects currently in development and they plan to have a bigger line-up for Wii U than we did on the Wii.

"We've got a couple of more games in development for Wii U and we'll have a bigger line-up for Wii U than we did on the Wii," he said.

"It is the first next-generation platform coming out so we're really supporting it.

"Just looking at E3 and where we're at, we wanted to hold our fire a little bit on a couple of the other games that we're working on. We'll have more announcements this summer on the rest of the Wii U line-up."
So, it's Madden and FIFA, as previously suggested? "You'll hear more later this summer", they said.

Also, according to Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg the publisher is ready to throw support behind Nintendo's Wii U.

"We take our time to get our ducks in a row before pulling any trigger," he told GamesIndustry International.

"We don't have announcements today but we will be supporting Wii U," he added.
And yes, seems that Treyarch is hinting to Black Ops 2 release on the Wii U console, as previously rumored.

"We obviously have been a Nintendo developer for many years and have created many Call of Duty games on the Nintendo platform," he said.

"[Wii U] is clearly a more powerful platform than its predecessor and... they have obviously a unique controller and interface. And they announced a Pro Controller which appears to be a controller that would be really good for first person shooter games. It just so happens that's what we specialise in," he added.

On the subject of whether Black Ops 2 will launch on Wii U, Lamia added: "It's difficult to say because it's something we're not talking about. I'm intentionally being elusive because we're not talking about it!"
So, there you go. Expect these publishers to confirm their upcoming Wii U line-up in the following months!

Black Ops 2 is coming for Wii for sure, especially since Wii-U is the most powerful console for this game title, because the game is outtdated when 720 and PS4 comes. They already made a few COD's for years for Nintendo...so.

I dont care if there is any new COD at all thou..ever.
Why is so many people defending EA, when they are a shit company with yearly shovelware? They even won a prize for it twice.
