Apple backs Microsoft in opposition of Xbox ban attempt by Motorola

Microsoft getting allies



Apple has joined the long list of companies that opposes Motorola's request to ban imports of Xbox 360s to the US

You may remember when we post the Motorola's ban request of all the Xbox 360's in the US for patent infrigement.

Since that thay, a growing number of companies have been backing up, Microsoft to reject the ban. The last one to join its circle of allies was Apple.

According to ArsTechnica:

Apple respectfully submits that any exclusion order directed against Microsoft would significantly undermine the standards-setting process and frustrate the purpose of FRAND," Davis wrote (Scribd link). More testimonials on the Xbox's behalf came from Activision, Nokia, HP, Cisco, and Intel, all saying the public interest outweighs the concerns of Motorola.

Now there's an ungodly union if there ever was one. I will say that because I AM an android fan, I have no love for motorla. They are the only manufacturer that seems intent on locking their hardware down to such extremes; you'd think since google bought the mobile part they would be more representative of the spirit of android, but moto still has the least android friendly policies, so F**K them.
