Playdead’s follow-up...

New details and a piece of concept art for Limbo developer’s 'Project 2' have emerged!

If you don't know LIMBO is a puzzle-platform game from indie Danish developer Playdead.

This one was first released on the XBLA in 2010 as a timed exclusive, and was made available later on the PSN and PC.

It received universal acclaim from video game critics and journalists.

Well, a few details on the follow-up, called for now "Project 2", have emerged:

The game is listed as a 2.5D platformer “in color” that “tells the story of a boy’s struggle against evil forces trying to take over the world through questionable experiments on human bodies.”
Looks like this time the game is coming from the beginning to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac.

The game's concept art, shows the silhouette of a boy dragging some sort of headless human or creature, perhaps one affected by those “questionable experiments.”

Apparently, the Dutch Film Institute (DFI) is contributing $1,000,000 to the project.

We should expect a late 2013 to early 2014 release date. Let's hope they reveal more details about this indie title soon!
