I'm not really looking forward to this after that tit at Crapcon saying they wanted to make RE games more action shoot-em-up based. i found 5 to be a step backwards, even more so than 4, and neither of which were like the Zero, 1,2,3 and Veronika X, as in adventure games with a bit of combat to keep the tension up, they were 3rd person shooters with a minor puzzle element. I liked 4 but it certainly isn't an RE game in the standard sense and 5 was average and even less of an RE game, they have more in common with that dire Raccoon City game (yes I get them all as I still hope for a return to real RE like I do with Silent Hill, I can't even be bothered to play Downpour, I got to Silent Hill and just got bored of it).

    My gaming systems -
    Consoles - Wii, Xbox 360 Elite, Xbox 360 Jtag Jasper 2TB 3.5" HDD, PS3 60GB UK launch version, PS3 hacked with 500GB 3.5" HDD (2TB wouldn't work ).

    PC - i7 3930K @4.6GHZ, Asus Rampage IV Extreme, 2xRadeon 7970, 32GB DDR3, 4TB Raid HDD (4X Samsung Spinpoint F3, SSD boot drive OCZ Vertex 3 120GB )

These are gaming systems I am biased towards (may as well throw in everything from last gen and before as if the PC can emulate it I am likley to have it)

but your loving the retor days, im sorry but capcom arent nintendo, they dont release a game thats the same thing, kill zombie, enter room, find key over n over again.

i like how theyve made this move, its creates more tension giving the player a wider environment to move arround and interact with, this also gives the player a better scenario which you see in the movie loads of zombies chasing towards you and you would sh1t yourself if it was real.

sorry but this method is miles more entertaining than entering a room with one zombie to kill, turn the corner one more, its stale, you know theyre there, the fact the zombies all charge at you is far better.

i admit RE4 was decent with the change in its AI, but like RE5 it was cr@p because it was about stupid alien like bioweapon shoved down peoples throat.

No idiot boy they dumb the game down so that those with tiny minds like yourself can get your head around it, just about, pretty gfx do not make a game better even if thats all you care about, and changing the cor of a game doesn't always improve it. There are very few survival horror games to choose from so they could have carried on cornering the market, but no they went the 3rd person and with the likes of Raccoon City the first person approach. they may as just stick to thier house of the dead type ghost house ride shooters and take all the effort except for aiming and shooting out for you. Well done for bringing Nintndo into it again while forgettign they re-released all their old RE games on nintendo consoles and make the likes of Street Fighter over and over, well done for another piss poor comparrison, tho i could as easily say, look at metroid and mario and tell me how they havn't changed in the same time period as Resident evil and street fighter etc, i think even you will find they have changed a hell of a lot more than you will admit. Don't bother repling you are on my ignore list go back to blaming everything on Nintendo (you will reply tho won't you, you always have done when I have blocked you and told you int he past :P)

the only survival horror franchise that hasnt been destroyed yet is fatal frame aka project zero (at least in the main series, less so in spirit camera), at least that is still good for a few scares on ps2 (1,2,3) , xbox (1,2) and currently wii (2, 4).

Aye, fatal frame does seem to be the only real horse int he race these days, RE is a 3rd person shooter, Silent Hill has just lost the plot and all the old last gen games in the genre have seemingly died off. Dead Island di look promising but I got bored of it early on so can't tell if it gets better as you get further in. The only other 2 I can think of are Alan Wake which can be hit and miss and Dead space which seems to have gone the way of RE with more focus on gunfights than puzzles. i'm glad you reminded, I'll have to get 4 next time I get dragged around town looking for crap I don't need to be there for (thats real survival horror ).
