Exclamation Camilla Luddington is the new Lara Croft's Voice & Motion-Capture Actress

For the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot

The English-born actress has been chosen to be 'the voice and performance actress' of Lara Croft for the next Tomb Raider.

Camilla Luddington –of True Blood and Californication fame and who also portrayed 'Kate Middleton' in straight-to-TV movie William & Kate-, was chosen by Square Enix as the new “voice and performance actress” of the reinvented Lara Croft.

She was picked for the role after an “international talent search using scouts in Europe and the US,” according to Square.

Said Darrell Gallagher, head of studio at Crystal Dynamics: “This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right.

“This Tomb Raider game is very different to any other and we are demanding far more from the voice and performance acting than ever before as we take the franchise in a new direction.”
Luddington will be the first actress to do full motion-capture work for Lara Croft. Actresses Keeley Hawes and Minnie Driver only lent Croft their voices.

Tomb Raider will be released on March 5th 2013.
